Its weird- most of us 'mere mortals' seem to have longer more fullfilling lives than these tumblr 'gods'. As a white cis male I do marvel at my ability to oppress such mighty people by virtue of merely existing.

If i didnt know better i'd suggest this whole god thing was trying to compensate for being fat and unable to function in normal society.

But for reals it is pathetic. When you have so few actual talents you have to pretend to be a god.

To be far that can be a BPD thing, however considering it can cause major lashing and and destroying friendships its hardly quirky or cute.

That and again, if KP actually had it she most certainly wouldn't be content with it going untreated.

Nah that ain't a BPD thing. Lashing out and fucking up friendships is to a degree (but that also implies picking up those pieces after the tidal wave of emotions dies down), but threatening to murder people over unfollowing a crappy Tumblr blog is just a dipshit edgy kid thing.

I think Tumblr forgets that it's okay to be what's considered "normal." It's okay to be straight, cis, white, able-bodied, mentally healthy, etc. Being non-hetero, trans, non-white, disabled, mentally ill, etc. doesn't make anyone better (or worse) by default. I see that so much in these special snowflakes, trying so hard to be everything they're not. They throw aside the notion that a person's quality or what have you is rooted in their personal achievements, their skills, how they better themselves as well as others, and so on versus a collection of labels painting you as a victim. If there wasn't such an obsession with being seen as a minority/disadvantaged there wouldn't be so many bullshit sexualities/genders you see on Mogai-Archive, there wouldn't be so many self-diagnosers, there wouldn't be these asshat white kids pretending to be POC, and certainly not so many self-proclaimed "otherkin".

Then there's righteous fury in defiance of acts of violence (aka having a spine to stand your ground against abusers) and then there is being an asshat towards anyone deemed to be part of the vague entity known as "the oppressors." Tumblr thinks these things are one and the same, then uses this to justify abusing these individuals. Yeah yeah I know fighting systemic oppression requires more than just curtsies and good manners but being a dick to random people is unrelated, solves nothing, and tends to cause even more problems.

That's rather well said, not every one is noteworthy not everyone will leave a lasting mark on the world and that's perfectly fine, the only thing is don't be a dick along the way.
They are also missing the main chance to change, if you want to be a interesting person they need to engage in interesting things. If there hobby is interesting why not spread knowledge of it? If they are into art why not enter your art into a competition or show etc?

Mostly I think is because that takes effort to be worthy of note beyond your own family an friends.

I don't even see the particular need to be a notable person either because I mean notoriety doesn't make one much better, per se. I just kinda want to do what makes me happy, make myself better, make friends, and hopefully do well in whatever field of work I go into so I can afford to live comfortably in the company of my loved one + pets. If I somehow get popular then cool I guess? Outside of that I am by no means worried about just being another person or a face in the crowd, or not having a legacy.

People who pretend to be so much more (esp these deity wannabes) just scream "I'm an insecure child who can't do anything worthwhile" instead of trying to be better. Take some comfort in realizing you're just another human being instead of putting yourself on a pedestal, you delusional twit. At the same time do take some responsibility for yourself and your actions because you can't go through life demanding a hand to hold.

But then again I'm a person who needs to achieve or just do stuff in order to improve their mood and mental health. The concept of sitting around and giving in to anything doesn't register with me because if I stop being so active I almost certainly will wind up destroying myself. Because you know like others have said real BPD is totally fun fun fun.

Snowflakes always make me wonder about the psychological connection between imagining yourself with a disorder and actually having that disorder.
