UN Steve Bannon calls Kushner a traitor - + Manafort, and Don Jr.

This pretty much blows up the neighborhood. Bannon is saying that the meeting in Trump Tower was at best unpatriotic and at worse treasonous. Absolute contempt for Don Jr. and Jared Kushner. Definitely still salty as all fuck about those two edging him out of the palace so this should be taken with a few healthy grains of said salt, but damn.

Donald Trump’s former chief strategist Steve Bannon has described the Trump Tower meeting between the president’s son and a group of Russians during the 2016 election campaign as “treasonous” and “unpatriotic”, according to an explosive new book seen by the Guardian.

Bannon, speaking to author Michael Wolff, warned that the investigation into alleged collusion with the Kremlin will focus on money laundering and predicted: “They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.”

Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, reportedly based on more than 200 interviews with the president, his inner circle and players in and around the administration, is one of the most eagerly awaited political books of the year. In it, Wolff lifts the lid on a White House lurching from crisis to crisis amid internecine warfare, with even some of Trump’s closest allies expressing contempt for him.

Bannon, who was chief executive of the Trump campaign in its final three months, then White House chief strategist for seven months before returning to the rightwing Breitbart News, is a central figure in the nasty, cutthroat drama, quoted extensively, often in salty language.

He is particularly scathing about a June 2016 meeting involving Trump’s son Donald Jr, son-in-law Jared Kushner, then campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower in New York. A trusted intermediary had promised documents that would “incriminate” rival Hillary Clinton but instead of alerting the FBI to a potential assault on American democracy by a foreign power, Trump Jr replied in an email: “I love it.”

The meeting was revealed by the New York Times in July last year, prompting Trump Jr to say no consequential material was produced. Soon after, Wolff writes, Bannon remarked mockingly: “The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor – with no lawyers. They didn’t have any lawyers.

“Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad shit, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Bannon went on, Wolff writes, to say that if any such meeting had to take place, it should have been set up “in a Holiday Inn in Manchester, New Hampshire, with your lawyers who meet with these people”. Any information, he said, could then be “dump[ed] … down to Breitbart or something like that, or maybe some other more legitimate publication”.

Bannon added: “You never see it, you never know it, because you don’t need to … But that’s the brain trust that they had.”

Isn't it all but confirmed that it was Steve Bannon was the one leaking a lot of the insider meeting stuff from within the white house during the first few months of the presidency to generate controversy and views for Brietbart until John Kelly gave him the boot?

Either way what remained of Bannon's popularity has taken a massive nose dive ever since he did the impossible and gave Alabama to a Democrat and endorsed a challenger to Paul Ryan who turned out to be almost the ideal alt-right stereotype as the left views them. If what is said about him is true, he's one of the biggest attention whores in the U.S. and can't stand it when things start turning south for him. The only people I've seen like him still are some really really really hard core alt-right kekistan tards who think Bannon is going to make some genius political move and then run for president in 2020 or 2024.

Hell, even T_D is admitting Bannon fucked up, when you get that echo chamber to admit to something going wrong then you know that person is done.

It's nearly been a full year and it's still nothing but Russia accusations.

I think it's more like a year and a half, the Russia investigation started in secret in mid 2016, before Trump was even elected and then became public a few days prior to the election iirc.

I figured Bannon had done something tarded to get kicked out of the WH. Trump seems to dump trouble-makers really fast. I guess the Moore loss really broke him.

Also, not to jump on the bandwagon and start shitting mercilessly on Bannon, but what is wrong with his face? Does he get in a bar fight every single day of his life?

He's like the physical embodiment of cirrhosis. The only person to blame for Bannon getting canned is Bannon and he'll do anything to stay relevant.

Scaramucci was brought in for the sole purpose to take out Reince and his little band of leakers. John Kelly replaced Reince then kicked out the rest of the clowns, i.e. Bannon and his little band of leakers. It's pretty obvious Reince and Bannon were leaking to make each other look bad, so both had to go.

Pretty much. Bannon has held a grudge against Trump since he was fired. I remember Bannon saying something to the effect of "The Presidency we fought for is dead" a few days after he returned to Breitbart, which to me shows that Bannon liked to think of himself as being in charge. Bannon was totally responsible for Roy Moore beating out Luther Strange, whom Trump endorsed, in the primary. And Bannon's stupid ass doubled down, thinking he would look like a genius for getting an accused pedo elected. He's lashing out because he's been exposed as a fraud.

I don't blame Trump for getting mad, who wouldn't after someone calls your son and son-in-law traitors?

Kushner is a piece of shit doe. Don Jr. isn't.

Manafort just got fucked over by something which is completely unrelated to the left's Russia conspiracy, yet they have tried to make it so.

lol are you serious? T_D turns on literally everyone who doesn't frame Trump in terms of "the greatest president of all time". It takes almost nothing to get T_D to turn on someone (see: Lewendowski, The Mooch, Reince Priebus, Roy Moore, Michael Flynn, etc)

He must be pretty confident that Trump had no knowledge of the meeting if he's doing this.

No, he's a backstabbing little turd, sort of like the Dick Morris of the right. He should talk about traitors.

Still, great choice of allies, Trump.

Those loons thought @Null wasn't a big enough Trump worshipper.
