Super Robot Wars

Super Robot Wars is a very fun SRPG series by Banpresto. What makes it unique it that it takes various mecha from Anime, Manga, Novels, and Videogames and puts them all in one package. The main problem with the series is that it's Japan-only because of that. The amount of copyrights to go around to translate even a single game is overwelming, but we have gotten some spinoff titles, namely the Original Generation series, which only includes alot of the mecha made specifically for the various games and thus are all under one copyright. They were released overseas as Super Robot Taisen, in order to not conflict with the copyright of the British show Robot Wars.

I currently only own Super Robot Wars 64 for N64 and Super Robot Wars and Super Robot Wars F: Kanketsuhen for Sega Saturn. I'm playing on getting Super Robot Wars Z2 Hakai-hen and it's sequel Super Robot Taisen Z2 Saisei-hen for PSP, because they include Mecha from my two favorite animes of the genre: Gurren Lagann and Big O

I really want to know if there are any other fans of the series on here, and what games you own or have played if any.

In case those are wondering why I'd make a thread on a mostly Japan-exclusive series, it has a surprisingly large english-speaking fanbase and numerous games have been fantranslated throughout the years

I love SRW. It's pretty damn fun seeing characters from robot anime I love crossover and punch shit together. I've got Gaiden on SNES, OGs2 on PS3, SRW 64, and have Alpha PSX coming in the mail. Played most of the games through emulation, though.

Really need to pick up the ones released after Z2.2- are the last two Masoukishin games any good? I love the whole 'fantasy setting with giant robots' thing, so Masoukishin has a soft spot in my heart. fantasy themed installment when

That one for the SFC that was translated offers mouse support that in turn worked with old stylus-driven XP tablet laptops.
Playing them on a tablet then going back to mashing a cursor around is a big let-down.
