In unrelated news, seems another leftist uploaded a hitpiece on our futaman.

To clarify, this links to a
Papa Gut stream reacting to a
video from another leftist named Ryan Beard about Synth's Last of Us Season 2 Episode 1 video. Papa Gut is generally understood as a C-list breadtuber type, he's partisan enough that it limits his reach and I don't think normies will be swayed, also he's fat and disgusting which I'm sure doesn't help. Ryan Beard, however, does command a certain level of respect; I've heard him described as a "reasonable" leftist from centrist types and he was also responsible for what I believe is the biggest video on the Destiny drama from a while back. That said, the video was uploaded to Beard's second channel, Ryan Beard Productions which has 144k subs instead of the main channel which has 670k subs; with any luck the video won't go viral but Beard's videos get good views so this will be worth keeping an eye on.

As for the actual content of the video, it sucks. Beard frontloads the video with the racemixing stuff, stating that Synth claims the Last of Us show is "too woke" because it "promotes race-mixing"; in reality that's a relatively small part of the video, but it's definitely what normies will have the strongest kneejerk reaction to so the strategy is fairly obvious, especially as he put it in the title ("Anti-Woke Idiot Hates Race Mixing in The Last of Us"). Beard cites Dead Domain's hitpiece when explaining Synth's objection to race-mixing, namely that "miscegenation in media is done to create a mongrel slave race with lower IQ for toucans to control"; Beard states that he doesn't agree, that mulatto children wouldn't make it easier for jews to take over "if that was their goal", and that it's actually the Christians, not the jews, trying to take over the U.S., hence the rise of Christian Nationalism. Beard then focuses on this highly specific complaint of minorities mixing with whites to create a low IQ slave race for the rest of his video, and as a result he acts as if Synth's broader miscegenation comments are nonsensical. As an example, when Synth notes how Joel and Tommy both have black wives and children, which is a race-swap comment alongside a miscegenation one, Beard's response is "oh no, the show is now promoting pro-hispanic and pro-black mating propaganda! Isn't your perspective that the jews are trying to get white people to mate with black people? Why would you be mad that hispanic and black people have mixed race children under your worldview if you already view them both as inferior races? None of this makes any fucking sense dude!" Beard is intentionally misdirecting his audience towards this specific critique that "doesn't make sense" when it's not even what Synth said, and it's entirely possible that Synth has other complaints regarding miscegenation as well.
Beard also just makes strange and stupid arguments, like when Synth complains about Dina going from Big Schnoz to Little Schnoz and that it's a miscast because the actress is actually cute. In response, Beard argues that Dina isn't meant to be a jew in the HBO show, she's hispanic instead; when considering the actresses this is true as Dina in the game was obviously a jew, her model is based off a jew (Cascina Cardonna, her nose is even bigger IRL) while in the show she's played by Isabella Merced, who has a white father and a peruvian mother. However, I'm not sure where Beard gets this idea that they changed Dina into a gentile, from what I can tell online nothing has been confirmed on that front and there's still time in the show for the infamous Synagogue detour. It's just bizarre that he'd stake his argument on something that
will be confirmed or denied within an episode or two, when it was such a big deal in the game.

I think the biggest offense is when Synth said that Bella Ramsey (Ellie's actress) is distractingly ugly, Beard's paraphrased response is "you're even uglier and you don't shower." He then concedes that "I guess Bella Ramsey is a
bit less conventionally attractive than Ellie from the game", when anyone with working eyes knows that she's horrifically dysgenic and the casting director who chose her is far crueler than any mean comment on the internet. This is Beard refusing to concede ground on something that everyone can agree on, regardless of your thoughts regarding the show.

I'm sure the racemixing stuff will overpower the brains of normies and they'll ignore everything else, but the video is unironically bad and in terms of hitpieces it's got to be one of the worst. When Synth brings up Episode 3 from the first season, rather the hairy old men homosex episode, Beard doesn't bother trying to argue that isn't woke. He simply makes a stupid homosexual comment about him and Synth kissing, and moves on; I think the point of the hitpiece is to expose Synth as this alt-right nutjob who only cares about politics and not about the broader stories or writing, in fact Beard pulls the "but the WRITING" card at least twice in his video, but if you look at Synth's review of Episode 2 (which came out 10 days before Beard's video) it's largely a comparison of the show vs the game and it specifically criticizes the writing of the show rather than dwelling on it's politics. It's especially strange because in the beginning of his video, Beard states that he'll be looking at "a few videos" from Synth about the Last of Us show, and as far as I can tell Beard's video only covers Season 2 Episode 1 when the Episode 2 video was already out and largely countered his points. That said, he also states that he's "been wanting to make a video on this dude for a while" before citing the backlash from the Fallout show review, so perhaps he smelled blood in the water and wanted to get in early, hoping it would be like Fallout where everyone from Hasan to Turkey Tom, Diesel Patches to Moist Critikal took a shot at Synth.
