I didn't see his schizo rant as I didn't watch most of his zelda review since I'm not interested whatsoever in that franchise, since it is gate locked behind nintendo's shitty overpriced console, but I have heard him describe it in his response video and while it did sound full on schizo, with the baphomet comparisons and all, he clearly sounded well aware of it and described it like it was mostly just a joke with a tiny little grain of reality sprinkled in, I didn't really have a problem with it and even thought it was a bit funny. He shouldn't act surprised however, that twitter and lefties inevitably latched onto it and laughed at it, since he was esentially inviting them to do it with how full on schizo he went. He intentionally acted stupid, and now he's mad that people are laughing at him. I do have to say that I like how Synth does a good job at getting people to reveal their hypocrisy and double standards. It is funny how Vaush, a self-professed socialist, came running to the defense of Nintendo, a multi-billion dollar company that is known to go hard after people who make emulators and ROM's of their systems and games. Or MauLer and the Fandom Menace who go on and on about how much they hate woke culture and SJW's, to the point that they went after Hasan Piker for going after a channel smaller than his, only to praise woke games and attack smaller channels than theirs for daring to say the goyslop they love is woke and terrible.

I grew up playing the Zelda games and New Vegas is one of my favorite games of all time but even I will criticize the games time to time. Such as the open world formula of Zelda being a bit stale or how New Vegas can be pozzed at times but that is fine. I can criticize my favorite games because I don't base my personality on liking a product made by a multi-billion dollar company. The fact that the likes of Vaush and MauLer do really says a lot about how pathetic they are and how devoid of a personality they have.

I tried watching a few of this guy's videos and they're generally decent background noise, and I agree with the spirit of a lot of what he says, but he always comes off as an extremely unlikable sperg to me. And since he's not really that naturally funny, it isn't endearing. I'm not a fan of him using his livestream footage whenever he talks about games in his videos because I hate the gay streamer facecam that literally everyone has to have, and him usually wearing a beanie or something to cover his head makes me think he's going bald. (lol) It also feels like every video he mentions "Guys, I'm being shadowbanned! The YouTube algorithm is hiding my stuff, that's why I'm getting low views!" Whereas, to me as an outsider it seems like he exclusively plays to his base; which is fine, but SM also said in one video that he doesn't put a ton of effort into research mainly going off of his gut after finishing a game for a review. His reason being that "It's a YouTube video, people will forget about it in an hour". Which I agree with, but to me whenever I make something creative, even if it's dumb bullshit like a video, I'd at least try to put in my best effort for personal and pride reasons. To me the combination of exclusively playing to your base and half-assing your videos would be a better analysis as to why you're getting shit views as opposed to some troon at YT is purposefully keeping your channel from getting rec'd.

Yeah, that was fucking autistic & dumb. Nintendo is a japanese company & there are actually darker skinned people in Japan...& they are known as Okinawans (not all of them are dark skinned tho). The problem is that ESG shit is starting to affect Japanese games. A good example of that will be Pokemon. For the longest time Game Freak did a good job of making the Pokemon world reflect the demographic of the real world. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and the Sinnoh regions were suppose to reflect Japan which is why there isn't really any black people there. In Pokemon Black and White there were black people in that game, even a black gym leader, but it made sense as Unova is suppose to be based off of New York. Pokemon Sun and Moon had NPC's that mostly looked like native Hawaiians which made sense as Alola was suppose to be based off Hawaii.
Problem now is that Game Freak, and other Nintendo subsidiaries, are now full on in with ESG. Even have a ESG page and they are adding in races that don't make sense for the regions they based it off of. Example, Paldea, the region in Pokemon Scarlett and Violet, is suppose to be based off of Spain yet most of the NPC's are black and brown. Most native Spaniards are light skinned.
From what I hear is that BlackRock is expanding to other markets. They are demanding that Japanese game devs make changes to their games for the American market. Take out the politically incorrect humor, take away a female characters sex appeal, change the race, gender identity and sexual attraction of certain characters otherwise they will make sure their game doesn't sell overseas. Many Japanese devs are frustrated by this but go along with BlackRock's demands as the money is too good to pass up. Just recently Larry Fink told European companies that if they don't abide to ESG and his policies that he will make sure that their products don't sell in the states. This might be semantic autism on my end, but I think the politics (agenda) are just inserted by the devs/publishers but I don't subscribe that everything is political, e.g. like Pong, Pac-Man or even NES era games. The idea (I believe was originally 'The Personal Is Political') is just used by leftists to shove shit in inherently non political constructs.

You can have themes like the Metal Gear games or hell even Call of Duty, but it's when they push agendas.

I agree, I think at the very least, SM actually had potential to be a very good youtuber. But it's annoying when you do see the spergy nature of his content (at least somewhat recently).

I suppose he's meant to be a /pol/tard rather than a joke of a leftist essay youtubers (if you don't know what I'm talking about, have a look at this and you'll see the emulated types of videos they make) or a general vidya shill, but his style of reviewing the latest thing tends to be of lesser quality than his actual retrospective content like the Classic Game Reviews and other videos.

I find the inclusion of stream clips and the lack of less effort annoying overall, he should drop the doomer reviewer theme snd switch back the the more chill style videos.
