Synth should do more reviews of the latest FTOM slop instead of wasting his time with Breakers and Kirsche faggotry, just take a look at his output in early 2023

2-3 monthly videos, 2023 is peak Synth, ever since Troon Domain made a hit piece on him (and after getting that strike) I feel that his channel is in a downward spiral, "old" Synth would've been made a The Last of Shit video AND a Expedition 33 video, old Synth would shit on Monster Hunter Wilds for being a shitty videogame focused on "le ebin cinematic experience" instead of the usual peak, arcadey gameplay experience the series was known for (Pre-World), the KCD2 Magnum Opus could easily hit 500k views but he uploaded the video a month later when the drama died down and everything was said and done (still one of the best videos he ever made).

Found it. First, I agree with you that he needed more character development. I disagree with this: "At least he went out like a chad." They did him dirty — he didn't go out like a chad. He got shot in the back, and then you had a senseless fight that you couldn't win. I don't like that. I don't like killing a character for the sake of killing, like it's some sort of drama that just happens, like a jumpscare.
I also didn't like the fact that the main character is "hidden," if we can call it that. They promoted Gustave as the MC and killed him in the first act, only to immediately be replaced — that felt just wrong.
It would be way better if you actually could "win" the fight or at least stall until Verso comes to save him and the minor redhead.
I wanted to give it a shot, but not after that.

Ya thats fair, I personally enjoyed it so I'm just trying to get some other opinions as well. Personally It didn't bother me as much (Due to the lack of development), but definitely still had me going wtf for a good minute. Its certainly not a perfect game

I think what would’ve worked better is that Gustave nearly dies, but Verso comes and saves him. You think for a while that Gustave is fine, but then most of the way through the game he suddenly gets killed or sacrifices himself. THAT would have a lot of impact I personally think.

That would be cool, and also ensures Verso still gets enough screen time. The only thing they would have to change is Verso admitting he let it happen since he felt like Gustave being alive would sway her final decision. (Even without Gustave she wanted to stay, so fair enough I guess)

The thing you said, though, about Gustave's nearly shooting himself in the head in the beginning. That also undercuts his death. I feel like there's some kind of Rian Johnson antics going on with the game having you start as him and giving you the whole intro with his girlfriend getting Thanos'd only to be like, "Oh, he's dead now! Bet you didn't see that coming!"

Zero emotional impact. Just me going, "WTF??"

I think maybe if they removed that scene it could help. Or if the scene was instead Gustave stopping another character from killing themselves.

My friend forced me to buy it just to play with him, he got bored in less than a month and I had no reasons to keep playing considering that I also play Dota 2 in my spare time, watching Synth play Breakers is fun (the sheer fucking rage he feels when he's playing with retards is pretty much what I feel in the average Dota match), but I feel that he plays it waaaaay to much compared to previous years when he was making the monthly reviews.
