So this guy. First let me say that this guy is fucked up because of his massive ego, god-complex and his behavior. His fetish-filled DeviantArt profile is definitely a source of discomfort, but it is not the source of his drama as he has claimed.

His name is SYRSA, or Benjamin from Sweden. He recently pestered Vinny from Vinesauce to livestream his "game", 'Zerahypt' after months of begging Vinny to play it and being told no. Vinny made it clear that he wouldn't sugarcoat things because he's in the chat and that "Theres a possibility that I might tear the game apart."

SYRSA agreed to this, before the stream. So Vinny plays it. First, it was supposedly an ALPHA. But it isn't even a pre-Alpha. "It's not even technically a game", as SYRSA backtracked when confronted, but an art piece. There was no story in place IN GAME and nothing to do but fly around in a spaceship, but SYRSA allegedly kept trying to fill in Lore over the chat or linking to his DeviantArt, which had a lot of Lore on it.

One of the first things that Vinny commented on was how even at the Pre-pre-alpha stage, the most advanced aspect of the game was the physics of the main character's jiggling breasts. That was it. One comment, and he was done with it.

So the entire stream is basically just Vinny flying around aimlessly in a spaceship, and he tries to be as nice with the criticisms as humanly possible, but the chat is laughing and SYRSA goes into damage-control mode. After the Stream is uploaded to YT, he then posts a TL;DR comment defending his game, and a YT comment war ensues, during which SYRSA bawwleets all his comments and Vinny himself comes to try to diffuse the tensions.

TL;DR: he is passive aggressive, offers half-assed excuses for the jiggle physics or why he presented Vinny with a half-assed incomplete tech demo, and infers that he is a God. Here goes:

As you can see, he sees any legitimate criticism as an insult or mockery, thus prompting people to get aggressive with him. I would guess that this is either a swift conclusion to a bitch fit or the start of something much more substantial. Judging by his DeviantArt, I'd guess the latter. But you decide.

Ah. One of those 'IT'S ARTZ' kind of guys. Always a pester no matter what kind of media they're working on. I'd have love to been in that stream, given I'm a huge Vinesauce fan. Has this drama just erupted today? If so, it's hard to say. SYRSA could go tardrage around the internet or go off to sulk and leave this as a one time ordeal. You might have found something. Maybe. We'll see how it rolls out.

I gotta say this makes me love Vinny more than ever. He always comes off to me as a 'no bullshit' kind of person, never sweetening his words when it comes to a game being indie or suggested by the developer.

Yeah, The stream aired a couple weeks ago and the YT comment war was active until just last week when SYRSA deleted everything. He was lying low for a bit, but just posted a new pervy Lore pic on his DeviantArt. Idk. I think his ego may be too big to let this one go.

Yeah. I dig how he never made Vinesauce one of those 'gimmick' streams and how he plays one-off unknown games. I just wish people wouldn't take that for granted. Like, he spent an hour on Zerahypt flying around random places, with TONS of physics glitches even though SYRSA boasted that the real physics were an important aspect to the game, (Because everyone knows tits jiggle in space. Duh.) Vinny himself had to run damage control for a game he never wanted to play, and that's a part of the reason everyone was raging. He brought Vinny into his drama and if this continues it could potentially hurt Vinesauce's reputation. If he hadn't forced his game on someone and expected a hugbox, then this wouldn't be an issue.

Yeah what is with tartlets having egos bigger than their brain? Granted, when hit puberty and shit, you start fancying yourself the next best thing since sliced buttered bread even though you're probably not. Part of growing up, part of transitioning from child to adult is learning humility, criticism that does you some actual good, and most importantly, learning not to be a turd towards other who's viewpoints/lifestyle choices (as long as they are not illegal or immoral), etc differ from yours.

In my honest opinion, the quicker someone learns these life lessons, the better adjusted they will be later in life.

Unfortunately, the internet has become sort of a "security blanket" for those with a deluded sense of self worth. More often than not, most of the tartlets on DA who achieve lolcow status often have social problems like anxiety/autism/victim of bullying IRL.

It doesn't matter if you are firm, but NICE when offering your average tartlet criticism on their mediocre ms paint achievements.

Most of them will respond with "its my style!" or "leave me alone, you're mean!"

The really neurotic ones with presumably low self esteem will fly into a tard rage and make asses of themselves inadvertently and on sites that allow for commenting will do damage control to protect their ego from being fully shattered (the shattering of course being more beneficial than harmful) like SYSRA and delete comments that don't align with his self made lies about who he is as a person.

Comments that don't offer anything and are little more than cheap insults are one thing.

Critical comments that are typed in a caring professional manner no matter how brutal the truth is are another.

In the screencaps, he had said that he wasn't a pervert and the anatomy wasn't perverted as they were aliens and that was how their anatomy worked, therefore they were all anatomically correct and could not be perverted or offensive to anyone. When someone explained that it's still sexualizing characters regardless, he backtracked, saying as is mentioned in the screencaps, "The God who created them is a pervert." And, as 'Guy Dude' so astutely points out, HE created them himself, thus making him their God/a pervert. It's sort of like TJChurch's thread. You point out conclusive evidence as to why they're wrong or illogical, and they come back with something even less logical.

LOL. There ARE no interesting parts. At least, not yet. He claimed he'd "be working on this game for the rest of (his) life..." so I'm not sure we'll all even be AROUND when he puts a story to it.

Straight up I'd respect the guy more if he just said "I/someone else/whoever would find it hot so I tried to appeal to them." Hell I'd buy the cheesecake value of it like a Suda51 game. As it is this just comes off as poor backtracking.

I can't get over his DA gallery. Pretty much all of it is just really bizarre boob stuff. Including things that explain that some characters have breasts so big they need mechanical contraptions just to hold them up. I mean if he's serious about trying to convince people he's not a pervert, or that it's objective and not for his sexual interest...I think it's a little too late for that. It's a shame though, making a game is incredibly difficult and I think Vinny gave him great advice, and handled things very well.

Yep. Realistically, Evolution would not throw things at these characters that their bodies couldn't handle, and the fact that he's deliberately doing otherwise and then denying that it's intentionally perverse proves that this is just a fetish thing for him. Did you see the character ref for that "Priestess" character? She had this awesome backstory regarding nuclear radiation and losing her legs in an accident, but then SYRSA goes and says "and the radiation only makes it so that her boobs swell with milk and they'll keep expanding if she doesn't drain them." and it's just like, dude. Please.

Okay,this though. Syrsa's logic: Take a character who, by your own reasoning, should be a dedicated and powerful religious figure, and then sexualize them and make it impossible for that character to be taken seriously. Yes. That's how you do it!
