It's not hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is when you tell your kids that drinking is wrong, but you're a borderline alcoholic.

If you feel glad that some evil person is killed, and then you cry because someone kills your innocent brother, you're not a hypocrite. For them, it's like this: we are the evil people who are doing bad things and deserves bad things while they are good and fighting us demons.
