Would it be possible to list all kiwifarms mirrors on the twitter page? I was using the .hk domain but it went down. Whoever at CloudShit thought it would be funny to punish TOR users with an infinitely looping CAPTCHA deserves rectal cancer.

as this user said it doesn't happen on every thread. this one is messed up for me though, as well as every thread in ILJ. Other than that seems random.

If it helps narrow it down I am using safari on iOS.

As of currently I think the mail server is still being Ddos'd. It's impossible to reset passwords via email at this time. I'm also guessing if you did the "login for 30 days before re-verifying with email" thing, you'd be locked out of your account for a while as well.

I had a really hard time logging in, didn't receive any verification email and the backup codes didn't work until just now.
Although other people seem to do fine so maybe it's something on my end, (not sure what that would be).

The extra details/ strange looks (on various threads) are just Java not being fully loaded. Probably wise to expect little things like minor loading bugs & downtime here & there, atm.
Fairly pleased with how short any downtime has been the last week or two.

Had a very hard time getting account confirmed. Emails weren't going to my associated account. Finally found an account that accepted emails from KF, then took about six tries to finally get confirmation. Kept coming back with error messages.

Any idea why? Don't believe it was anything I did. Thanks!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't read all the messages on this page hehe, it says above that the mailserver is being DDOS'd so that's why.
I was able to get help when I emailed Null about it but idk if that will work for everyone since a lot of us has these issues.

Basically no confirmation email will go out so if anyone else has issues: DON'T CHANGE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS it will only lock your account from posting.
(Everytime you change your email here it will try and send you a confirmation to your inbox before you can access your account again, but since no mail goes out your account gets frozen).

I think he is working on it presently though so keep your cool and check your inboxes.

Tor onion is designed to block plugins like Javascript, which will break YouTube. That has nothing to do with Kiwifarms. That's a Tor feature, because YouTube is used by Google to track you.

You can technically check your Tor settings, enable Javascript and scripts, and troubleshoot using a guide to turn YouTube back on. But it's not really recommended because it defeats the purpose of Tor. There are better privacy workarounds that retrieve videos anonymously for viewing.

EDIT: It's important that Tor blocks Javascript because it can sometimes be used to reach through the TOR protections, and access your real IP and computer metadata. Google likes to try and do this. This isn't technically as bad if you use a VPN. But you probably already use the same VPN all the time on your regular browser on YouTube (which still collects your metadata and computer ID). And if you did, then Google will immediately connect the Tor activity to your regular identity, and stores this information indefinitely, indexing you as a TOR user.

Tor Browser Bundle hasn't even been bundled with noscript for years.

But YouTube does push captchas on most Tor endpoints, and that does break the embedding javascript.

Or they just disabled scripts in the settings by themselves by sliding to max security, not realizing it would break YouTube. You can activate NoScript manually, and you can download it or similar extensions, if you don't have it.

Had a similar issue. Turns out that a browser lag or something managed to request two confirmation mails and it took the mails a short moment to pop up. When you requets a new confirmation mail, it blocks the first one.
I clicked on the first (now defunct) confirmation mail, which returned an error. Meanwhile, the second confirmation mail was already on its way, but I requested yet another one. The second mail arrived, didn't work and I was about to just call it quits, figuring it might be an issue with the mail server when a third confirmation mail popped up and lo and behold, my ability to shitpost is restored.

But alas, I had to make an entirely new e-mail account on one of Josh's servers. I originally was the proud owner of "lolcow@lolcow.email", but I could not get into my inbox, the password is broken. Shit sucks.
