I can't change my avatar.

I keep getting this message:

I though maybe it's because it's a GIF. So I tried with a PNG and I got a slightly different error message:

Also, I couldn't upload the screenshots so I had to use an external image host. And even so, the images won't display when I use IMG tags.

Sorry for using imgur. I don't know of any image hosts that are BASED.
lol Null won't help you with that, he hates animated avatars.

Xenforo is very picky about Gifs for avatars. What I eventually figured out is that you need to strip out frames to get, I think under 35 or so. The lower the better. As a side effect, this also lowers the file size. Try to get the file size under 1.5MB, though I don't think that matters as much as frame size. Use ezgif.com to fuck with it until you get one that works. Crop, remove frames, etc. Remove frames under the Optimize section.

The gif needs to be exactly 192x192, because if it's not, XenForo will resize it and that usually seems to make the file too large (not sure if it's just not compressing very efficiently or what).

But at the time he posted, all uploads were broken, so it may have just been that.

I've tried that and other sizes. The only thing that always works is lowering the frame count. Maybe it's related in that it times out trying to resize large frame count gifs, I don't know since I can't see the backend process.

It's both. File size, and starting with the correct dimensions. If you don't start by resizing it to 192x192, the resize process is likely going to make the file too big. But the file could also just be too large to begin with.

If the dimensions are 192x192 and the file size is 1.5 MB or less, that should do the trick.

I'm not 100% how to describe this, but something fucky is going on.

The tooltip box for reactions doesn't appear in the correct place, looks like it appears far below the site as as soon as I trigger it's appearance, the scrollbar jumps.

Also, when doing a multi-quote, the popup appears at the top of page, and after closing it the page repeatedly increases the scrollable space to the right before jumping back to there not being anything to the right.

Kind of wish I had screen recording software to show it off.

Can confirm both of those problems are happening on my end too.

Getting this as well.

Additionally, the delete post dialog is also appearing somewhere off screen when you activate it.

Tried to get a screenshot. This is what happens when you mouse over the like button.

Once it's appeared and disappeared again, the the page repeatedly gets wider than the browser, making a scrollbar appear and disappear.

I thought it was some weird loading indicator at first.

There are no console errors that I can see.

Firefox users in chat reporting flickering scroll bars, editing posts and chat messages just straight up doesn't work and the toolbar doesn't come up for the like button at all.

Ok, I managed to get OBS to record stuff without setting anything on fire. Can't upload video here, so I slapped it onto YouTube. I'm running Firefox 100.0.2

Edit: I checked the browser console, no visible errors there at all.

Vid looks exactly like what I'm seeing on my end.

I can confirm the fucky happenings on Firefox 100.0.2. Brave seems fine.

Something seems to have gone wrong with absolute positioning in firefox. Given it's not broken the entire internet, something specific to the farms js must be conflicting with the newest version. I'm trying to find out what they changed recently.

I don't regularly update my browser either, so its not something that happened with just the newer versions either.
