I guess the only way I can describe the way I feel right now is a cloud of disappointment.
While some of you are stating that we are back on the Clearnet again, I ask for how long. How long before the Troons find another weak woman of a C level ISP executive and convivence them to block this website. As of this posting, CenturyLink that stated they are complicit in this sites
blocking and how they will stand behind their decision. We are on out fifth Tier 1 ISP as Null says the
sidewalk will eventually end. Such one must ask where Null and this site will seek refuge if we are dropped again. The reason I like The Farms is because of its extremely light moderation and a tech savvy leader that is stubborn while having a deep respect for freedom of speech. If The Farms does die, its not just the death of a controversial website be the death knell of free discourse.
While The Farms is mostly a shitposting shit about gossip of Internet Retards with vibrant other sections, I think it represents something more. In my mind, this site is similar to a Wild West town of the Internet free of ever increasing politically correct moderation and desire to push the approved narrative. Though other forums exist, they are much more tightly moderated and dare I say it less diverse. Earlier, some other posters questioned what other sites could be targeted. No list is currently available but I believe save one or two of the owners most will capitulate and allow Troons enhanced moderation. Sure, the bow hunting or mountain ATV racing site might still remain but its footprint and diversity will not be as significant as The Farms.
I believe this is the ultimate goal, to corrupt, destroy, or to make irrelevant. We already see the dominos being lined up with the media targeting The Babylon Bee for its funding of Lib of TikTok. All the ammunition is already there for ISP to ban that site or some other site that they deems to hate transgenders or is ultra far right. Even if some of these sites survive the Troon Tribulation, we will be left with fewer and fewer internet forums where we can discuss issues among and learn more.
The loss is immense. While you may mostly limit yourself to one autistic internet retard ask yourself if thats all you learn on The Farms or did it give you more knowledge. Now imagine yourself without that knowledge. Perhaps you might still have the same mindset but you will feel alone and ostracized. When people that watch popular social media comment on something you have very little rebuttal. In essences, I believe evil forces are trying to mold the way we thing by suppressing dissent and amplifying the approved voices to a deafening roar. Even if you disagree your views will never spread widely, your ability to rebut will be diminished, and your ability to gain a degree of collective consciousness with be greatly crippled. While you might still have you ideas you will go to the grave with them as only thoughts that align with pro-social justice will be allowed.
