Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm looking at performance issues specifically for non-EU users who are having frequent lags and chat disconnects. A KiwiFlare error was due to some database changes I just made.

I was having a lot of lag when it first came up but just figured it was because I was updating a lot of threads. Now its moving quite a bit faster.

mouse over over the whiteouts for explanations.
Minor issue where timestamps for posts are broken. They display future dates ie:

I've cleared my cache, hard reload, tried it in a private window etc, it goes away for a few while and then comes back.

Any ideas? Am I just being a retard? (Probably)

Using Brave browser, no VPN atm. If you need any other info I'll give you what I can.

this happens sometimes if you go back a page. xenforo bug. not something i am ever fixing.

Damn, is it just me, or does the site seem a lot faster right now?
i'd fucking hope so after all the work i just did.

You need to do a hard refresh, but that doesn't really seem to stick. The date issue occurs on regular loads too, even if you don't go back and only use inline links.

If connected over TOR the site will attempt to redirect you from the normal address to the .onion every time you load a page.
There it then checks for bots and shits itself.

Only if you're using the Tor browser.

I just run the full Tor client (need it for hosting anyways) and connect to that with a heavily tweaked copy of Firefox.

Settings / Privacy & Security / Prioritize .onion sites when known

...controls that behavior. Flip it to "Ask every time" and you can browse clearnet without redirecting to .onion addresses.

So I'm on mobile (fucking shoot me, I know) and I'm constantly getting white out/unavailable on posts/quotes. I noticed someone mentioned mouse over it, but that's not a thing on mobile? Thoughts?

Take your finger, touch the words on the screen, drag the highlight around the words you want to quote/reply. Touch the quote or reply button.
