Feedback Technical Grievances

Seems that I am only having issues with photos/ gifs on .net but nothing on .is from what I've seen so far. So I'll just use .is

Also, been noticing a bit of slow down with loading pages for the past 24 hours, it's not much and doesn't always happen.

The network drops for 5 seconds at a time about once every 3 minutes. It's horribly aggravating.

Feels similar to my end of the month throttling so for me it's not bad.

Getting a lot of 500 errors. I didn't get a screenshot but it literally shows nothing but 500 Internal Server Error nginx. That's the whole page.

Which pages?

Edit: I have applied a fix and am monitoring the siduation mucho closely ok

antivirus said there was a virus detected when I visited a KF thread for some reason. Have Adblock + noscript enabled- shouldn’t be experiencing this, and have never experienced it before

You sound so fucking entitled.

It's because of the miner. There is no malware on the site. Calm your tits.

Edit: I've sent a false positive warning to AVG. If you're getting errors without JS even being enabled, it's a 100% URL-based warning.

That's strange, I got this on Avast also. If you don't believe me...

Yeah, it's the miner triggering Avast and various other anti-viruses. For some reason, it triggered even when I turned the miner off. It happened when I was logging in to KiwiFarms.

As of 5 minutes ago, my Adguard Adblocker (2.7.2) is claiming that Kiwifarms serves malware. Just so you know. Didn't happen earlier.

Dunno what I can do about it. I've changed some stuff but if the only answers are "kill the site by making normies with false-positive antimalwares too afraid of visiting" or "kill the site by intentionally disabling the only effective source of income generation we'd have in a year", there doesn't seem to be an appropriate response.

Ye my anti virus just went off about Kiwi.

Something about connecting with my computer.

The very first step is to open AVG.
From there, look for the Menu in the top right and go into the settings.

Next, on the left hand side, click Components, and then click Customize on the Online Shield section

Doing that will greet you with the main page for the online shield, as seen below.

Go ahead and click 'Exceptions', then enter the following in the URL exclusion field https://kiwifarms.net*

Click Add

Which leaves your window looking like this.

Hit that green OK button and close on out of everything.
And there you have it, as simple as that, you've now Whitelisted the farms in AVG and you can continue about your business!

Going to be editing this post with other AV programs as I cycle through them to assist anyone that has issues with these false flags.

Thank you for the help. It's honestly not that big of a deal but here is the alert I got. I've never gotten it before from here so I dunno. It /might/ help figure out whats making it happen.

Here's an easy guide from someone else, for Avast
Settings -> Components -> Customize 'Web Shield' -> Exclusions -> Add 'https://kiwifarms.net/js/Jawsh/*'

Make sure it's https, not just http, or you'll spend three minutes furiously shift-F5ing and wondering why it won't work. Like me.
As for -why- its happening, someone has reported it to the more well-known AV programs as malware, so it has the potential to drive people away from the site, killing it that way, as well as cutting down on the little bit of money it was generating because so many donation options are closed to the Farms.

I would strongly advise complaining to your provider about false positives, especially if (god forbid) you pay for this shit. You don't need an antivirus if you're over the age of 12. Just don't download and install seedy programs. They can't even come up with a good excuse, "Generic Malware (Trojan)" literally just means "something bad (that you didn't know was bad)". Might as well just name it "fuck.you".

These are the false positive reporting forms for AVG and Avast. They're built for file false positives, not websites. The website shit is added manually by their team of retards. I'd encourage you to find a support line
