Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Thumbnails and avatars don't lazyload properly past the first minute or so after page load. They load fine immediately after entering a new page, but after a bit they just give up and stop lazyloading entirely until I refresh the page. Opening the full size image does always work fine however. I'm on Firefox 121 for what it's worth.

edit: and as per usual, whining about it fixed it for me.

Pages don’t load completely or the format is screwed up. I’ve noticed this starts happening before 503 and 504 errors start showing up. I haven’t gotten an error message yet though.

Erm, I seem to have caused some sort of error that allowed me to temporarily "be" "logged in" on another user's account, that being @Doctor John B. Zyklon. It doesn't show in this screenshot, but I was briefly shown he has 4 unread DM chains and around 1,200 unread notifications. I didn't make any attempt to view them, of course, but this is bizarre enough to report immediately. It even switched over to the forum theme he uses instead of the one I use. I still have that tab open with it still displaying as seen in the screenshot.

To run through what I had to do to trigger this: I saw a notification saying there was a new post in the Rekieta thread, and I clicked it. From there, as the page was loading, I saw his most recent post with an attachment which had not loaded yet (it showed the image attachment's name as a green hyperlink). It was in the body of the message. I ctrl+clicked it to open in a new tab, which usually loads the attached image, but instead brought me to that page.

There, I'm not crazy, although I was off by about 300 notifications. Might be a display error and not actually giving me access to the account. Still, really weird.

Clearnet(.hk) is completely unusable for me, constant timeouts, viewing images dont work, giving reactions too, on the rare occasion the site will load, it will be absurdly slow, Ctrl+F5 doesnt help. Almost like there's some big DDOS going on. Clearnet over Tor is better, it's faster but for some reason the message post box doesnt load properly. Only onion works

When I open spoilers I can scroll, but if I scroll back up, it bounces to a random point in the spoiler. It gets annoying when I'm all the way down the page and I need to reread something and the screen scrolls all the way back up at the top.
Also, sorry about the tranny tits. I knew Kevin gibes page would have a million spoilers.
 
I'm experiences something odd: Firefox will always give me "page could not be loaded" no matter which Mullvad server I'm on. But Brave loads the farms immediately while using any Mullvad server. Anyone else experiencing this with Firefox?

The exact thing happens to me on Firefox and Waterfox, must be something with the furfag browser. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it's probably trannies and Cogent fucking around constantly, so I default to tor browser for browsing KF.

I think its one of firefox's settings cause it loads a cached page in at first then does the error when you click a link.

If that was the case then CTRL+F5 would have fixed it, but it never does. In fact, sometimes it makes it worse, because instead of KF error I'll get a -fox error page about unexpected end of file.

Yea only thing that fixes it for me is to restart firefox itself completely.
 
Just reporting a low priority but curious behavior this afternoon:

I made a post in a thread (everyone clap! retard can use forum!)

Immediately following this, instead of seeing said post, I got a notification that a post was made in the thread and a prompt to view it. It was my post.

First time I've ever seen that. Usually if I make a post myself it shows up and doesn't notify me as if I'm a stranger making a post.
 
Site's working quite slowly again. Pages time out often. Load times are pretty high. No matter which VPN location I tried.
It's the same as when the DDoS protection was looping/failing, but that screen rarely appears.

+1 with the slow loading on Clearnet.

I'm aware of the frontpage notice about slow loading after server maintenance.

It hangs so long that it's honestly hard to tell the difference between slow loading and Cogent null routing fuckery.
