  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
this is just something interesting that i found while checking former kf domains:

i have noticed that when i try to access the site over clearnet using brave it says the site is blocked but if i open a private window with tor it works fine using the clearnet address and the .onion version. is there something fucked up on my end or is this known to happen? clearnet works on every other browser.

If it says the site is blocked over clearnet, either you're trying to access the .onion URL (which obviously wouldn't work) or you've got some type of DNS filtering that's "helpfully" preventing you from visiting known bad sites like KiwiFarms.

If it's only Brave doing it, it's possible that you've just bookmarked the onion by mistake. But make sure you're also not using some custom proxy/DNS/VPN that's maliciously interfering with KF.

Try More tools > Open Guest profile and see if .hk loads there.

For at least the last couple of weeks or so, I've been getting repeated notifications that the security certificates for kiwifarms.hk haven't been configured correctly and could present a risk of data being visible to outside actors; I'm using a VPN so I'm not overly concerned,, but is this something that needs to be looked into?

Edit: Aw, @Null - don't tell us you made a deal with the CCP for them to give up notorious wumao and overall nuisance @MMS-China in exchange for messing with the security certificates--cause if it was, you sure got screwed on that deal.

When I type a paragraph and then I type another Paragraph and I have a line between the two paragraphs if I press backspace anywhere in the 2nd paragraph the line between the two paragraphs is deleted. Also in case it is not clear it is any character or space in that entire paragraph. I know if you have your text cursor in an empty line and you hit backspace it deletes the line obviously.

For example

This:
Paragraph 1

Paragraph 2

(I hit backspace)

Becomes this:
Paragraph 1
Paragraph 2

This is not critical but it is really fucking annoying. Am I retard and there is some setting or something I can change to fix this? Or is this a default feature of the text editor?

If shit gets really fucky in the text editor, like it sometimes does when trying to add line breaks within quotes even while holding the shift key, and a bunch of similar bugs...

My solution is to toggle BB code and add the line breaks as needed, then switch back. Too bad that this requires communication with the server, so it can fail to load if the site is being DDoSed or something.
 
On clearnet-over-Tor and also on the Tor Hidden Service:

Getting a lot of PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR yesterday.

Site works great for a few page loads then times out and lucky to get a page load in 5 minutes.

Intermittently shit performance has been my experience for weeks.
 
I cannot upload a long, stitched image, even when i compressed the file size. Videos and other normal sized images work just fine though.
