Feedback Technical Grievances

This isn't a grievance per se, but it would be cool to be able to view a thread and filter out posts below a certain number of ratings. It would make catching the highlights (and lowlights) of some of the huge threads here easier.

I don't see this functionality in the Ratings plugin, but if that info is parseable by the forum search engine then it could be as simple as adding a Minimum Number of Ratings field under Search Threads and Posts. I dunno whether that is possible, I've never managed a Xenforo forum.
 
I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but when browsing with Tor hidden service on the homepage it will load the avatars of all the users then after a few seconds they turn into white boxes, including avatars in the chat window. It only does it on the homepage and only when scripts are enabled. Individual forums/threads load as intended.

Tor blocks canvas which chat uses to make images static.
 
Is there more work being done on the back end, is Cloudflare having issues, or is the site under attack again? I'm randomly getting slow loading and 502s as I try to navigate the forum. The issue just started a few hours ago.

Im getting occasional 502s as well but reloading once or twice has fixed it so far.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I tried searching and didn't find anything.

Videos don't show up for me if I'm using the mobile website. I use Firefox app version 13.2, and my phone uses iOS version 12. It does work on the Safari app, but I strongly prefer to use Firefox for what are probably obvious reasons.

I don't use KF on mobile that often, so it's not a huge deal tbh, but I figured it was worth mentioning.
 
Looks like the onion service is down. Dunno if there's an attack just on that or if it just crashed.

Same here, the onion service has been down for me the last few hours. The .net site works fine with occasional 502's that fixes with refreshing.

Minor but ongoing: When I open a "new post in this thread" alert but don't scroll to the last post, I stop getting alerts from that thread.
 
This is a minor issue I’ve had, the “thunkful/thoughtful” icon doesn’t always appear for me. I’m using a tablet. I’ve had other icons not load occasionally, but the thoughtful one is the most likely to not appear.

Not a big deal, but whatever.

Yep same thing happens to me occasionally. Really makes me thunk...
 
Getting occasional 502's at random tonight. Assuming that there's another DDoS taking place as usual. However I've attempted to access the .onion URL via Tor and it seems to just time out and does not connect at all. Is something wrong with the Tor link?

The Thoughtful rating does not have a PNG graphic assigned to it like all the others, it instead uses a Unicode character that corresponds to the "thinking" emoji. If you are on a browser or device that does not offer emoji support it will instead appear as a small Unicode box.

It became a bit of a joke when it was added because it's a very easy fix and I think Null is intentionally ignoring it because of how spergy people were getting about the button not working correctly. I made a PNG to fix it, but that was before I understood the joke.

If you insist on forcing Tor users through your onion site can you at least keep it online? It's been down for over a week now.
 
A post I made earlier today got deleted by a mod who said that imgur doesn't work on kiwifarms anymore. Is that recent? Because I've been posting imgur links for a while without incident. Also, why did it stop working? And lastly, do you recommend any alternative image hosting sites?
 
no. it's been like that for a year. upload everything to the site, no questions asked.
