  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Clearnet is eating shit.
TOR works fine.

Ok disregard I'm back in Clearnet but its slow.
DDoS?

It’s not a big deal but I haven’t been able to do anything but ‘like’ profile posts for months now, I miss the variety.
Copy the like button as a link, change the number at the end, open that, confirm, enjoy dopamine.

@Null Has there been issues today? I noticed the site was inaccessible for 1-2 hours around 8-10AM UTC and didn't see anything on telegram. It fixed itself (obviously) and I wouldn't bring it up except attachments are being funky now. They're not showing inline in threads (neither are avatars) but if you click on them to enlarge, they show fine. videos though, don't appear to load.

The error this morning by the way was something close to "PR END OF FILE" so I guess either you were fucking with something or the proxy nearest to Amsterdam was shitting itself for a bit.
The error just now is connection timeouts, though I can ping kiwifarms.st. if it'd be helpful I can get MTRs etc

While trying to post this, clearnet isn't responding again so posting this from TOR
edit; clearnet responding again now (~10 mins)

I am trying to edit a couple of extremely small typos that I noticed in my recently moved Gordon Paille OP, but I keep getting the following error whenever I try to save the edits:

I am unsure as to why I am getting this error. I did a character count and the OP, while close to 64000 characters, is still under that. The edits also wouldn't change the character count. Is this a restriction based on it leaving PG? I thought that only lasted for a day.

>while close to 64,000

apparently not bro. are you counting chars from the preview version and not chars from the actual bbcode version?

like that post is a quarter of a megabyte just in text.

I toggled BB code when I did a character check and got 63190 characters.

ok I guess the site's broken forever, sorry, you can't post.

p.s. char counts are done by byte, so any MB chars count extra.

It's not the end of the world if you can't do anything. It was two incredibly minor typos:
  • Adding an "s" at the end of "support" to make it "supports"
  • Changing an "an" to an "a"
I just thought that since overall the amount of characters wouldn't change, it wouldn't cause an issue. I also never had any problems while this thread was in PG.

Media also counts towards it i believe i hit character count a lot in ops so i always set up a reserved post right after for updates

When I started working on this OP, I did not anticipate it getting this big. I thought it would be a standard Halal OP on one guy, but it turned out that he has a bunch of alogs and detractors as well. I'll definitely keep that in mind for next time.

My ability to connect with Brave, Chrome and any other Chromium type browsers seems to be failing. Microsoft Edge browser (which I have not opened in months) works just fine. The error page getting thrown out by the Chromium browsers is this. It at least seems to be a Kiwifarms error page with the correct font and color scheme, so some data is clearly getting through before the connection is broken.

This error is reproducible on both PC and Mobile with all 4 versions of Chrome and Brave. This is what I get when I connect via https://

WWW.kiwifarms.st is throwing the hard "you shall not pass" on all 4 browsers.

No, service workers can be used to create a custom offline page for a website. That's what you see when the Farms can't be reached.

www doesn't work for KF, for some reason it's simply broken rather than a redirect like every other site on the planet uses. So, if you accidentally try www it will behave strangely until you remember and fix it.

Is it possible for the www to get cached as https:// ? Because I definitely was not forgetting.

It's working now though oddly, after not working all day.

I've had browsers cache all sorts of stupid incorrect things, so, maybe.
