Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Are you clearing your notifications? Like can you try using 'Mark Read' to see if you actually get them? I routinely get my notifications. The system doesn't send multiple notifications sequentially.
Oh, that's what the green dot does! I've never used that, I just read each notification as it comes up and it turns from light gray to dark gray in the list once I read it.

It not really clear what that green dot does, I honestly never noticed it until I went looking for the 'mark read'option now. I will try that and see if it makes a difference. Thanks you.

Am I still supposed to do the trick with choosing "insert thumbnail" and deleting the full size picture in the body when attaching images? It looks like it isn't necessary anymore.
I'm new, so I'm not sure how old this issue is.

I noticed that I can no longer edit older posts (a few hours old, not days/weeks) on some forums. Is this an intentional/permanent change for everyone or a restriction to my account?

Clearing with the button instead of the post itself in the watched list doesn't make a difference. The Hagendorp and both Russell Greer threads were dropped from my notifications either today or the last couple of days.

If I go back and post on those threads or even rate enough posts they will come back for a while. Surely I'm not the only one experiencing this? It is the same on Firefox on PC or Brave on mobile so it's not a browser issue.

idk what to tell you i get notifications all the time. i guess i can break the system to double-send notifications if the last notification was over a day old. I would strongly suggest trying "MARK READ" at the BOTTOM of the list to mark ALL notifications read.

I'll give it a go. If no one else is having a problem it's gotta be something I'm doing.

Have you tried un-watch and re-watching the threads in question?

It appears embedded YouTube videos are getting a referrer tracker appended to their links.

I first noticed it in this post in USPG2:
1745341485148.webp

As a local example, consider this video of Chris Rock ranting about niggers.

If you mouse over the "Watch on YouTube", you will see the same, &embeds_referring_eurl=https://kiwifarms.st has been appended to the link.

I am not sure if this is happening on XenForo's side of things, brought in with the latest update, or if Alphabet has come up with a sneaky new way to track Kiwis watching Youtube.

I know phoneposting is subhuman, but when using phone to browse, sometimes threads will just scroll instantly to the top of the page at random. Makes browsing difficult at times, especially when reading EG a long thread OP.

When I'm on the phone and I click the next page number in a long thread I'm reading, very frequently it'll jump straight to the bottom of the page when it loads. Not every single time but very frequently.

It's personally not a big deal for myself, but I noticed that the Feature widget on the homepage has inconsistent styling when viewing it while logged out. When logged in, it appears okay.
There seem to be some omitted rules in the logged out view which don't put the entries/structItems and their elements into a table layout.

Its appearance:

Either way, it's taking up an awful lot of vertical real estate lately.

I had this problem with Duck Duck Go and Safari. I switch to Brave about a year ago and haven’t had it happen since.

I don't know if something has changed recently with the theme updates or it's just me, but lately I haven't been able to use the WYSIWYG editor tools, they are grayed out for me.

Using the latest version of Firefox. Attempted turning off content blocking tools. Sorry if it's already been mentioned.
