happens on desktop firefox and safari (no vpn)

I am reviewing our entire webserver config because I am frustrated that the site is not as fast as it should be, in particular file uploads and downloads are jarringly all over the place. If things flicker or break in the next few hours that's me.

Getting very slow image loads right now

Page loads, image loads, posts, and stickers have been slow for the last ~48 hours. It's not consistent, sometimes it goes as fast as it did after last week's fix; sometimes there's a period of minutes where every action takes a long time. Happens on threads, board listings, and the main page.

(Brave browser, desktop, over VPN with several USA nodes tried.)
