Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
It's not letting me upload files now. What I have is a 1.5MB graphic (Assigned Male edit). It's getting as far as letting me select it from my drive, but when I do, it just pops back to the "select a file" overlay and sits there, staring at me like it speaks less English than LaBelle. Help please?

Update: The problem appears to be with Paint.net; it's doing something to the file that your uploader doesn't like. It's okay; I'm working around it by linking to Photobucket.

No worries; whatever it is, it's not on your end, folks.

You're not saving the image as the correct filetype. It's a PNG that's called JPG or vice versa.

Looks like chat's broken.

Nevermind, Null is just throwing a temper tantrum because I made fun of his avatar. :'( Lol.

Whenever I try to upload a gif avatar it says it's too big even though it's not.

This is just so fucking detailed I am going to fix it right now.
When I try to use this avatar
gud.gif

It says
Your avatar's file size is too large. Please upload an avatar no bigger than 250 KB.

Even though it's only 161 KB.

The problem is that it's too fabulous for kiwi farms to handle

it's an obnoxious faggy gif avatar so good riddance.

try reducing its size to 192px.

This advice actually helped me fix my avatar as well, just as a heads up.

The dialog box on the forum where you upload avatars says the width maximum is 200px. I was uploading an image exactly 200px in width, however I guess because it was being resized to 192px this was causing its transparency to stop working. I tried with transparent PNG and GIF files with no luck until I manually resized it to 192px myself.
