When I first joined, I wasn't allowed to post in any of the off topic forums until I posted in the Chris/Lolcow forums aproximately 10 times. I dunno when that changed, but if Null went back, then this is the first I heard of it.

The chat looks horrific on mobile since it's been moved to the top of the page. There's very little going on there on a regular basis that can't be found in your run-of-the-mill discord server so I'm not sure why it needs such prominent placement.
 
I can click on the most recent topic in articles and happenings highlighted in the forum listing. But if I try and go into articles and happenings from there, I can't access the main page for that section.
 
Just noticed this weird bug with post numbers here: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/nick-rekietas-weeb-wars-videos-livestreams.55354/post-4983070

The URLs are correct, but the displayed post number goes 9,798, 9,799, 9,799, 9,800.

Edit - and there are 21 posts on that page instead of 20.

Null please fix the Kiwi logo back to normal. Whatever this logo is now, it doesn't load properly on my phone and pushes the notifications half off the screen
 
Is image uploading broken? If I try to upload anything larger than a couple meg, it hangs at 100% and then the image title is still there but with the filename crossed through, and the cancel button remains on the upload. I'd upload a picture but, well. . .

Other media uploads of any size seem to work.

I've also been having problems uploading, for a couple of days now.
Seems to just be larger files. (gifs, 3 - 6 MB)
Sometimes I get the response "Something went wrong, try again or contact administrator" and others "Oops! We ran into some problems"
 
Yes, the server is probably breaking when you upload a fucking gif image that size. It likely wants to make a thumbnail version and then breaks.

Easy fix then I guess.
Is there a guideline for file sizes that I missed?
 
No, but if you're posting GIF images that are pushing 10MB, you should absolutely be converting them to webm or mp4 in general. ffmpeg can do this in one line: ffmpeg.exe -i big.gif small.mp4
 
If the Newfag tag is based on number of posts, won't it encourage newfags just to shitpost up a storm to try to get rid of it? Or maybe worse, submit a bunch of inoffensive, noncontroversial posts like karma whoring on old slashdot?

It is not based on number of posts entirely. It is based on time too.
