Feedback Technical Grievances

Now it's sometimes loading the .is and then trying to redirect to the broken .onion. Every time I navigate I basically have to wait until I think everything I want to see is loaded and then hit Esc to make it stop.

I tried disabling Javascript. It's not Javascript.

This doesn't matter but I wonder if anyone else is experiencing it: My alerts for new threads are running about 4 hours late.

Over a month and a half ago, I received a notification saying that my thread posting privileges would be taken away for a month. It was because on General Discussion I asked “Is Brie Larson a lolcow?”.

Well now, it’s past a month and my thread ban should be lifted. I tried making a thread to Talk To Staff, but the bottom of my screen keeps saying “You have insufficient privileges to post threads here”.

Try DMing JSGOTI or Trombonista.

I have no idea what's changed recently, but for whatever reason if I hit backspace on mobile, the keyboard closes. It's very annoying, especially if I have to delete a word because I'm retarded.

Android or iPhone? I've heard of this happening on Chrome. Clear your cache, restart device and see if it's fixed :3

The onion site is still down, but now sometimes I get 522 errors on the .net before it tries to redirect me to the onion.

On desktop, I usually have to restart tor up to five times before it directs to the .net. On mobile, it's been working almost immediately. Don't know what causes desktop tor to force the .onion site to load.

I'm honestly not sure whether it's something fucked up in KF's settings or whether it's a legitimate bug in the Tor browser, or both. But I don't know where or how to bitch and whine at the Tor browser people, so here I am.

My strategy is to keep a tab open to http://zzz.kiwifarms.net/ (which is just an error page), then whenever KF quits working I just Ctrl-Shift-L on that tab to get a new Tor circuit for the site, then I try opening kiwifarms.net in a new tab. Usually it just sits there spinning and then goes straight to the page that says the onionsite is not found. But what I'm looking for is it to load the actual .net site before it redirects to that error page... that's good enough; at least then I can hit Esc to make sure I stay there. So I'll keep switching back to my zzz tab and refreshing my Tor circuit until I find one that works well enough for whatever fucking weird ass reason it does.

The whole Tor onion domain issue has been solved for two or three days now, is it fixed for everyone else?

Yeah. Still seems to have hiccups where it's slow, but that could just be me getting a crap node in the Tor network.

I'd have updated here, but there were some posts over in the Tor thread and I forgot about this.
I also lucked into a sneaky exit node and I must say this whole situation has been a PITA. Or maybe the redirect is disabled? If so thanks @Null!

EDIT: now I got redirected to a working onion
