Feedback Technical Grievances

i've turned off the other announcement because it was being hammered too hard and that was disrupting the site. I'm waiting on resources to mitigate better with.

Sneedchat is struggling because I think I might be at the upper limit of the OS's max open files.

Everything is so fast for me on clearnet today, I'm suspecting like the attackers all contracted AIDS and died.
Completely unusable on both clearnet and Tor for the last two days.
I've completely reorganized how the site works to try and be more efficient so that DDoS attacks are less effective.

I think they've also paused the attack or ran out of tokens for their botnet.

Here's hoping you get a good judge, I hope you sue these DDOSers into the dirt.
You can't really do that. We know exactly who's paying for the attacks but most pay for play DDOS farms are located in Eastern Europe somewhere and only accept crypto for their services.

The legal system doesn't really have the ability to investigate or enforce these people.

It's really a job for the FBI but given that the modern woke FBI are all either closet troons or fucking troons (remember, this is an organization that was headed by a troon for most of it's history) I won't expect them to be outing the paymasters of these third world DDOSers any time soon.

@AnOminous are you (or anyone else) still getting excessive 429 errors?
I haven't seen one since last night. I usually don't report these unless I'm getting them incessantly for a period of time because you usually either fix it or it just clears up. I think the DDoS may have been causing delays that resulted in a bunch of requests getting through simultaneously and triggering the mitigation.

I'm getting 429's still sometimes over clearnet. Clearnet over Tor works great, though. Errored when I tried to post this, of course. Refreshed and 429. New Tor connection fixed it. Its my own fault, I think. I tend to open 5-9 tabs at a time, and thats probably not a great idea when troony DDOS shenanigans are ongoing.

Is anyone else having trouble signing into accounts with 2FA? I'm able to sign into an account that doesn't have 2FA but not one with it. I don't get shown the 2FA page either, just sent to the homepage.
