Feedback Technical Grievances

Whatever the issue is seems to happen only when the forum tries to auto-save drafts.

Just a minor issue but I'd like a way to clear out a draft in a single press on mobile. Highlighting doesn't work, and my POS takes too long to erase word after word.

I assumed it was a ddos the other day but apparently it wasn't. Mostly a suggestion but a place kiwis could look during an outage to see the status of the farms would be cool. Like posting 'down for maintenance' on Twitter.

We'd still have to wake up nool to do that, tho.

My account or whatever won't stay signed in when using the mobile site, on both Chrome and Firefox apps. I log in, write a post, go to post it, and have to log back in. Same with checking notifications. Have to switch to desktop site to edit posts.

Not sure. I've never encountered this.

I can't type forum messages in Firefox with RequestPolicy enabled anymore because it keeps blocking a redirection to "null". What the hell @Null ?

Whitelisting "null" does nothing as it keeps reappearing, but whitelisting the whole *.kiwifarms.net works, so it's not a big issue for me. But that's still something worth looking into.

I have no idea. Sounds like a peculiarity with the forum software itself. Redirecting to null might be a JS way to refresh the page.

Okay. I was a bit surprised because I never encountered something like this before. And I've been lurking here with a bunch of AddOns for quite a while by now, so I just assumed you updated the software or some shit.
I'll keep an eye on whenever it is some bullshit on my end or not.

In mobile, chat is treated like a search bar and autocorrect doesn't work. This can be a big problem for mobile users that depend on autocorrect to fix the odd mistouch that occurs.

I know you didn't design the chat mod but is there any way that can be fixed? Otherwise using chat on mobile without sounding like a spastic is impossible.

I'll look into it.

When I attach an image to a post using the 'Upload a File' button, I can't actually see the image unless I switch to the full editor after that. Is this a bug or a design choice?
Also, what are the requirements for the Offtopic forums and the chat feature now?

What browser/OS? I have this too. It used to be sporadic, but is now always the case.

Another way of getting around this is to click the little disk icon, save draft, then refresh the page. Your post will still be there and you'll be able to insert the uploaded image.

I am having this issue on both Vivaldi and Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.

Can't seem to attach images. When I try to, it does the little loading thing and then disappears and requests me to upload an image. When I do it the second time, it shows up as the selected file but then nothing happens.

What browser / operating system? Just tested and it works.
