Feedback Technical Grievances

Experiencing a periodical client error through Kiwiflare.

On clearnet, I'm seeing outbound connections on port 443 to IPs associated with an entity called the "Anti-Hacker Alliance".

??? this makes literally no sense. Show a log or screencap whatever you're looking at.
I noticed it last night at some point when clearnet is sitting idle in background. I started getting MalwareBytes notifications (these are from this morning, Eastern time).

There's also warning when going directly to the site:

Obviously, I know better than to trust MalwareBytes at face value when it comes to the farms, but I don't know anything about this anti-hacker alliance. I have only seen this behavior when sneed.today was in a tab. It does not occur over onion.

EDIT: I'm probably mistaken to link the IP to the alliance. I don't know if that IP is part of your infrastructure, but why on earth would anti-hacker alliance have it optimized to be the first result on google?

Is the site being attacked again? Works fine (actually very well) for the most part but I'll occasionally get periods where it takes like a full minute to load for no real reason.

from what i understand the site is just under constant ddos and there are confidential ways to stop them, whenever it goes down its either
A: a method Josh hasn't thought of yet spun up
B: A hosting site folds under tranny pressure
C: Something else.

A minor nit, but If on clearnet, it has a "oh hey this site is also on Tor" button,

but clicking that button goes to http://[onion url], rather than https. Not sure if that's a site registration thing, or if it's something Brave has scraped on its own.
Brave, Win10, but seems to also occur in linux.

Edit: the footer link on every page is also a http link for .onion

Seems like there's some malicious traffic happening, as I'm seeing the occasional "This page cannot be loaded", but it usually goes away with one or two refresh attempts.

it's hard to tell with the current clusterfuck where any problem is happening. it could be an attack or it could just be that 3 tiny VPS servers aren't able to handle so many connections.

Can't access the .onion site :(... it says this
"Details: 0xF0 — The requested onion service descriptor can't be found on the hashring and therefore the service is not reachable by the client."

sorry it's just my computer's time being messed up

Every now and then on sneed I get a broken cryptographic challenge page. I’m pretty sure those dots animate and the logo should be there. It never progresses passed this page. It’s been happening for half a week maybe. If I go back and try again a few times it seems to go away for a while.
