Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Recently, my posts have been getting eaten more when I click to view another page. Kind of annoying and I'm not sure if there's any work arounds.
Use "Save draft" and wait for the green light before you navigate.

If you're unsure if it saved, make a change to the post, then save draft again and you should get the green light.

If you're still not getting a green light, your KiwiFlare session has probably timed out and you need to redo the cryptographic captcha. Open a different tab (so you won't lose the draft) and navigate to the front page or something. After that you should be able to save the draft successfully.

And in addition to the above good advice, watch out for the gotcha of having the same thread open in multiple tabs. I believe all of them might independently be trying to save your draft and in theory each could have a different version.

Does searching not work within large threads or recent posts? I searched the Rekieta thread for "bromke" to avoid making a post that was late and gay, and got no results, but there actually had been posts with the keyword made earlier. My own post doesn't show up either.

So I couldn't help but notice that there's a bit of a new designation system in place now; regular users are listed as "Voluntary Member", while moderators (and Dear Feeder) are "Mandatory Member".

Let's be honest for a moment; are we simply looking at a "don't forget, you're here forever" in-jokey kind of thing...

...or is it like a secret mark, meant to designate who will have a place in the new order of things when Xenforo 2.0 is completed, and which are doomed to linger forever on the old servers, burning in eternal torment as our connection speed is capped at 56K for ever and ever?!

It's just Rekieta-related joke.

I think it's more that your member is voluntary.

Pretty much useless and unimportant, but :semperfi: seems to be broken in sneedchat. It comes up invisible. :semperfidelis: works, though

Is the “New Posts” page getting DDoS’ed? I go to “What’s New” (which works), then to “New Posts” and get the “Page could not be loaded” page every time I try.

There seriously seems to be some kind of DDos, and "watched threads" doesn't work from anywhere, not even tor. The rest of the site also seems slow. Why would anyone on tard bucks be spending them on a Sunday morning?

I wonder if Nick has actually sacked up and put on the Balldo and coughed up some coke bucks for some weird DDoS.

Service seems spotty, tor works half the time. Are the trannies attacking again? Is it my ISP that's doing the fucky wucky with the farms? Hope the servers are all right.

I've been getting intermittent 502s while using the site. Maybe twice a day for the last few days. If it happens again, I'll try and catch which IP it is.

Watched threads remains broken and in fact I generally can't connect through clearnet at all since at least twelve or so hours ago. Tor works for normal threads, but watched threads just hangs and then dies 90% of the time.

Hello, I am having an issue with videos showing themselves only as audio files. This has been happening for at least a few days, but I can't remember for how long exactly. At first, I though it was on a specific user's end (I think their avatar was teal coloured with a squiggle, but I can't remember their username) they had posted multiple videos like this, so I assumed it was their problem and disregarded the issue for a while. But today I noticed it with a couple other posts by different users, so that must not be the case. BTW, not all videos are showing up like this, most still play and download fine.

I am going to link one of the problem videos, please tell me how it is showing up for you. I am not really seeing anyone in the threads these are posted in react to them as though anything is wrong with the upload.. Is it something on my end? If so, what is it and how can I fix it?

Your tax dollars at work.
Here is how this same post looks on my end, showing (and playing) as an audio file:
