I think web browsers might have an implementation problem where they lose track of previous parts of the animation, and instead of re-setting it like they should, they keep going and that causes glitches.

I re-encoded it so every single frame is stand alone and ~perfect by itself (modulo quantization and digital generation loss).

If it works I'll go frame-by-frame and make the background whatever color you want.

I didn't have a video anyway, only the gif. Thanks! If you could make it the "correct" background color for KF I'd appreciate it.

I did the obvious screwup and wrecked the character's eyes. Maybe fine for Halloween? If not I'll try a different encoding method.


I lost track of the speed at some point, so here's three options.

Sorry, my other method is producing a weird green fringe. I think I'll need to figure out some manual procedure tomorrow. I think the gif might just be cursed.

I popped it into ezgif and set it to 120% speed and it looks great. Thanks for the help, man, I appreciate it.

When the site was in danger of being taken down and has changed urls, I noticed since last year that the kiwifarms logo has been missing when you have it open in a tab.

I'm not sure what caused it, but it's been somewhat bugging me since then, and I just started using an add-on called favicon switcher to remedy it. Not a huge deal, but every site I go to has its own tab icon except for this one, and I'm just confused.

The likely problem is that Null hasn't whitelisted the favicon.ico or put it on the KiwiFlare nodes, I'm not sure which, so when you get challenged there's no icon and your browser caches that.

One or more dupe threads were probably merged into that one. Not sure about the unread posts thing, try clicking on each page of the thread and it will probably go away.

I only have this problem on mobile (Brave). I searched the thread, and other people have reported it for years with no solution.

When I open a long spoiler, and I'm trying to scroll slowly through it, the page will just take over and scroll all the way to the bottom at light speed. I have to fight it to keep it from scrolling, and sometimes it'll do it multiple times.

Incredibly aggravating.

Mr. Null are there any plans to get lolcow.wiki back online? It was a amazing repository for the exploits of the most famous and prolific cows in the site's history like Brianna Wu and I find the fact it is offline very sad.

is there any update on this? I miss the wiki. I dunno if it's being shelved indefinitely or not.
