Does anyone else here use ProtonVPN and find that all of a sudden kiwifarms.net is blocked or something? I shuffled through a bunch of the free-version IPs for a bit and each time I'd get this:
The kiwifarms.is domain still works from the VPN (which is how I'm posting this).
I was going to post this, I'm subscribed to ProtonVPN and none of the servers in several different countries I tried works. Are they blocking the .net domain?

I also have that issue and it happened when using Firefox and Brave on both my desktop and my phone so it's definitely ProtonVPN. Brave just throws an ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED but Firefox is complaining about a network protocol violation.
I didn't think to try .is, at least that's working. I had to use tor to get here. It is only kiwifarms.net that seems to be affected by whatever this problem is. Every other website I've tried so far has worked.
Having the exact same problems as above. I didn't even know we had an .is domain so .
I tried updating proton and that didn't do anything either. Maybe we should ask on their subreddit, assuming we don't get immediately banned for asking.
EDIT: Random thought, assuming it's not just a blacklisting issue. Might this have something to do with the cloudflare check to get into the site? The link above mentions that switching to cloudflares dns server resolves the issue (I haven't tried it for KF yet, might give it a shot after work).
who are all you poeple a) not knowing how to reply to posts b) complaining about people complaining in the thread for complaining about site issues. hmm?
I have it set so no one should be able to browse my post history and want my profile private but people can seemingly still comment on it. Is that working as I set it, or...?
Proton is also refusing to connect to cryptomining pools for some bizarre reason. A blacklist? Who knows. All the sites you can't connect to are behind ClownFlare though so it may be their fault somehow.

The weird thing is that ProtonVPN was working just fine for me on both Firefox and Chrome and across my phone and computers until literally yesterday. I put in a support ticket to see what the resolution will be.
Their DNS is fucked up and is apparently also railing to resolve crypto mining pools. If they're actually running some kind of blacklist that is probably cause to drop them so if it doesn't fix itself shortly we should try to find out.
ETA: in fact it does look like they are running a blacklist against crypto sites. We're probably still falsely in there because of our entirely consensual use of Monero a couple years ago.
That's pretty much a dealbreaker. Anyone got another free/cheap VPN?
