I'm not going to answer line-by-line, but no reasonable person would deny that Tesla has changed the automotive industry forever. EVs are here to stay even if Tesla was to go under. But Elon is an Apartheid cuck who breeds trannies and bought his way in to practically all of his businesses. Space X maybe is the only one that he built from ground zero.

The other bug bear is the environment. Unless your country's electricity comes almost exclusively from renewable sources what's the point? You are still burning coal or whatever to make the electricity that charges your car. Do people think electricity magically comes out of thin air? I guess you can make an argument about localised air pollution - high density urban areas can benefit from better air quality if they have mostly EVs. Still a pretty weak arguments and not even considering the environmental impact of the shit we have to spew into the environment to make the batteries.

Rate me me but the environmental thing has always bugged me. A major criticism of plug in hybrids is the fact that an internal combustion engine is still around farting climate change into the air. These critics never take into account that the point of plug in hybrids is to give EV economy when doing local tasks with ICE range as an option thus total emissions are reduced.
This criticism is also levied at hydrogen fuel cell powered cars because industrial hydrogen is produced via methane steam reforming and once again farts climate change into the air. Another issue these people have with hydrogen cars is the need for pressurized tanks. You motherfuckers ride around on metal fires waiting to happen.
Hydrogen production would be zero emission if brute forced via electrolysis from a nuclear power plant but I digress.

Meanwhile if you mention that the electricity used to power the eco-mentalist's adult sized Power Wheels is generated from the same liquefied dinosaurs that they rail against they'll look at you like you have six heads.

The Tesla 4680 battery packs have some really dumb pink foam with them, presumably to try to prevent people from doing repairs on the batteries themselves.

It's presumably there to reduce the time before shorting causes a catastrophic fire to occur, either due to one battery that didn't quite get soldered right or a collision or both.

I would suggest that people who think it's a good idea to repair battery packs, as opposed to having government mandate that they be standardized, cheap, and available well after cars are sold, should try swapping out the batteries in an 18V cordless tool's battery pack themselves, and then imagine even the most skilled craftsman doing that to nearly a thousand if not more batteries.

People in the RC hobby know this. There are people with lightweight cinema quads and fixed wings who convert their flight packs to Lion 18350 and the like. It's no joke soldering those cells together at higher voltages. I tend to stick with regular Lipos since they're safer and the most you'd have to do is solder on a different connector.

Creating reusable rockets is a good idea to reduce costs of payloads sending up to orbit. But this Mars shit? There will not be a Mars colony this century. I've had a good time in a Tesla twice:

The first was in Ludicrous Mode at a track in a Model S, the feel of the acceleration was on par with a Ferrari 458 GT Cup race car (probably the only other thing I've been in that's faster to 60), it was insane.

The second was when a friend's dad bought a Model X & we rocked up to a night out in a shit town with it, opened both gullwing doors at the same time and stepped out looking like ballers.

Otherwise they've been disappointing. I've got hands on with a number of Teslas through work and they're superficial cars, the interiors look cool enough but when you get hands on the pieces are flimsy, the leather feels shite, panel gaps were massive and there's just a load of gay gimmicks that Elon Musk forced onto the car because he's an ADHD retard who made it big. Most electric cars of recent years have been like this, I remember the BMW i8 feeling like crap on the inside as well.
