Melbourne and Sydney crowds absolutely suck. All the cunts just stand there and film, whereas people in Brisbane were actually moshing hard and going ballistic.

I keep praying that the fags who livestream shows on their tablets with the screen brightness set to max wind up getting phones banned from venues, but it never happens.

The French metal band that provided the soundtrack for Byuu's suicide released a new single / music video. Full album out June 21st.

Actually better than I expected.

Embarassing. The French metal scene is the worst in the world.

Something that has been discussed to death in the metal community but makes me wonder: Metallica selling-out.

Does sell-out phase Metallica (pretty much current phase since Load/Reload) is anyone's guilty pleasure? I often listen to their first five albums due to actual muscianship rather than if it's mainstream or not.

I've tried to listen to both Load and Reload albums including that abhorrent St. Anger album. Overall, barring Fuel, Until It Sleeps and The Unforgiven II both Load and Reload sound very fucking corny and unnecessarily lengthy. St. Anger is just pure and absolute cringe and also unnecessarily lengthy and they wouldn't become that much of a laughing stock if they just released nothing between Load/Reload and Death Magnetic.

Their latest albums (Hardwired and 72 Seasons) are bland as all fuck. They try to recapture the 80's essence but they're too mellowed out to do that. What AA does to a motherfucker.

I only say this from a musical perspective rather than the typical "HURR DURR METALLICA R SELL-OUTS" metalhead circlejerk take. At this rate every Metallica album is mainstream because the band itself is too so that would be preaching to the choir.

I know one person who says that Load isn't so bad, but I am not that person.

It's always seemed strange to me that people are surprised by how bad they've gotten. Metallica was always the weakest of the Big Four, and it's just a fact that most bands worsen as they age. Who listens to Black Sabbath's final album? Sepultura's? Candlemass's?
