The helium shrieks of DSBM are more hilarious than depressing. Seriously, how the fuck can anyone take music with vocals that sound like this seriously? Not to mention, like all black metal, it's all for show, meanwhile most of those sludge/doom bands were really living the misanthropic, drug-addicted nightmares they wrote songs about.
So you picked the most notoriously ridiculous sounding vocals of any "DSBM" band to prove you have some point? This might be surprising or maybe you're just stupid but they don't all sound like that. I can do the same thing: look how retarded the vocals sound, man I sure have some amazing focal point there I pointed out one band with ridiculous vocals. The entire genre must sound this way

Also who's to say the people making this music aren't drug addicted fuck ups themselves? I can easily prove that some in DSBM are

Every band I have ever personally heard in this genre sounds like either goofy bullshit or the most generic atmoshit imaginable, therefore, I will smear it as such. While some generators of DSBM are as dysfunctional and miserable as they proclaim to be, this does not translate into the music whatsoever, so why bother. There is simply nothing sonically depressive about high-speed tremolo riffs.

If we're just gonna talk about depressing music just listen to DSBM. Don't beat around the bush with some bitch shit, just fully immerse yourself in the "im going to kill myself" presentation:

Leviathan is the only non-gay DSBM act.

That's not even DSBM lmao what the fuck. What makes you think so? Just because he had an album with the word "suicide" in the title? All good if you don't like the genre, but at least give Xasthur an honorable mention if you're going to choose anything.

Dawg, you're retarded. I just give up with conversation. You clearly have barely listened to depressive black metal to even warrant having this strong of an opinion on it, which is bizarre to me. If you look in the first post I made with all the albums I linked you'd notice most, if not all, of of those aren't even fast - let alone have "high speed tremolo riffs" anywhere to be found. I don't even think the majority of DSBM commonly plays past slow or mid tempos. Really convinces me that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about at all, and I have no problem if someone doesn't like something but it's just the fact you continuously bring up invalid strawman arguments over and over again, which is why this is stupid as shit.

Trannies kinda ruined suicide for me. It's almost to the point that I don't even want to kill myself.

Is there anywhere decent online to buy ns records? I'm not too sure about Darker than Black considering they've got a shitload of bootlegs.

Bootlegs yes but a "shitload of"? Care to explain?

But speaking of bootlegs, avoid ASRAR.

Besides that

- Hammerbund from Germany. If you are looking for tapes then note that if it doesn't say "Pro" in the article title or description then it's a "bootleg" like back in the tape-trading days (standard unprinted shell, xeroxed cover).
- Christhunt Productions from Germany
- Bergstolz from Switzerland
- Northern Heritage, Out of the Dungeon Records and Breath of Pestilence from Finland
- New Era Productions and Heidens Hart from Netherlands
- Hassweg Productions and Drakkar from France, Osmose hasn't outright NSBM but you will find enough of the "greyzone" bands there (Ad Hominem, ImpNaz, Nokturnal Mortum, yadda)
- the guy from Evil runs Hammer of Damnation (shop)
- Signal Rex from Portugal
- Totenkopf Propaganda/Frost of Fire from Greece

Havent checked them in a while but back in the day Todesrune from Spain, now Deathrune Records.

Klaxon from the USA, it's run by the Bone Awl guys but besides that I don't really know about US labels bc everything I need I'll get from the labels mentioned above or from other German/European labels and if I order from the USA I usally order from either Nuclear War Now or Hells Headbangers.

Goatowarex from China but you have to be quick as their stuff always sells out very quickly and shit has become quite expensive, even without postage.

Edit: Forgot Werewolf Records from Finland, run by the Satanic Warmaster guy.

New Era and Hass Weg were involved in some controversy some years ago selling bootleg Peste Noire shirts when it looked like Famine was going on a state-sponsored holiday and wouldn't have been able to do anything about it which was pretty scummy IMHO.

The Klaxon guy is supposedly a junkie these days and as such not a reliable seller.

Regarding Todesrune/Deathrune, unless you like gambling never buy anything directly from his website, he's pretty notorious about "forgetting" to send stuff.

Yeah I know but a lot of labels ended up with having KPN merch/records in their stores that supposedly or suddendly was considered bootleg and despite me being an absolute KPN fanboy Famine can be a bit ... let's say he suffers from "surprise mood swings". I experienced it myself when I was doing business.

Haven't bought from Deathrune in years or a decade if not even longer but when I did I never had issues with them. It took a while sometimes, yes, but always got my stuff. Same for Klaxon but tbf I don't order that often there. Maybe once or twice a year.

He also got kicked from the organizing team of his festival.

Pretty solid drama for such a mid AF festival. To think that Steelfest got twice the attention and mass cancelation from weak-kneed faggot bands for having some naughty performers on the lineup.

Who cancelled their gigs at Steelfest? IIRC Sodom cancelled their show but were there more? I don't follow all these drama so closely anymore.

This interview goes over it quite in detail.

It was a well-organized lefty pressure campaign, apparently.
Some of the bands that cancelled (e.g. Sodom) didn't really care about sharing the stage with evil nazis, it was more because if they didn't withdraw, then other venues would have cancelled them, messing up their tours and screwing them financially.

I had no idea that it was this big. Anyways, which fucking faggot band are they talking here about?

Was asking myself the same thing.

This is the list of artists featured in the summer 2020 issue of Revolver.

Greg Puciato // Deftones // Run the Jewels // “Focus in Chaos” photo essay by Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe // Art in the Time of Pandemic curated by Mastodon’s Brann Dailor featuring Gojira’s Mario Duplantier, Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament and more // Mrs. Piss // Bloodbather // Wargasm // Sharptooth // Cemican // Orbit Culture

There's a couple plausible possibilities. I did a quick google search for some of the possible bands but didn't find anything. And googling the apology verbatim only brings up the Bardo article.
