That Metal Thread

This place has brainrotted me, cause everytime I come across this song, HowlingChasm's post pops in my brain:

What are your top 5 BG albums? I know you liked A Night at the Opera, but what about the rest?

It was a really great time at the show last night. Here's the setlist.
Glad to hear that you had a great time. A bit of a weird setlist, but just one album alone would have been a bit too short I suppose. Really need to catch Blind Guardian live someday.

Not entirely sure since I think a lot of their albums are quite uneven, but let's just say:

A Night at the Opera
Imaginations From the other Side
Nightfall

Those three a really consistent throughout their playtime. Opera is just complete chaos and makes me happy. Imaginations is a good bridge between old and new Guardian and Nightfall because I am a huge nerd. The last two really depends on the day. I would most likely say Follow the Blind and Twist in the Myth, but it also could be the other two.

Follow the Blind /Tales from the Twilight Hall
A Twist in the Myth / At the Edge of Time

What about you ?

>slam metal album about Fallout New Vegas
>made by a tranny
Why the fuck do people say "slam metal" that sounds so fucking retarded. It's slam death metal or slamming brutal death metal (or just simply say slam)

That's like calling melodic death metal "melodic metal" or brutal death metal "brutal metal". But somehow everyone who does this is so unaware how dumb it sounds..

But with that aside, it is no secret that slam has been horrendous in the last 10 years. It's a bunch of unfunny deathcore faggots that made one man projects in Audacity in their moms house and theme it after the most stupidist shit ever. i've even seen one "band" themed after Carl; the character from Jimmy Neutron. Also another tranny made a Pokémon themed band or some shit. I'm not gonna link these because I don't want to give them any exposure (do your own research on Metal Archives if you really want to find this unfunny AIDS). But holy shit... it's like the "heavy music" equivalent of that really retarded kid you knew in maths class who thinks it's funny to say "monkeys" every 5 seconds. There is absolutely nothing charming or impressive and especially not funny about going "hey im gonna start a slam band about uhh.... peter griffin!!11 xD"

So good, some anti-Islamic Black Metal.

Curse Upon A Prayer- Infidel

Even better anti-Islam BM ☪️🚫
Shit is actually so fire

shit I thought I replied to this, my bad.

Top 3 (in no particular order).
- Somewhere Far Beyond (album that made me love Blind Guardian)
- Tales From the Twilight World (Better songwriting than their first two albums, but still a primarily speed metal release)
- A Night at the Opera (I could put it up here just for And Then There Was Silence alone, but Precious Jerusalem, Battlefields, Maiden and the Minstrel Knight are just cherries on top).

If I were to strictly pick studio albums, my 4/5 picks would be
- Battalions of Fear (same reasoning as Iron Maiden's debut- so-so writing but tons of energy)
- At the Edge of Time (this might be their best album they've written in the past 15 years. Sacred Worlds, Ride Into Obsession, Wheel of Time are all bangers).

If I'm picking any release from them, my 4/5 picks:
- Forgotten Tales (Their B side covers and the acoustic versions of Bright Eyes and Mordred's Song are some of my favorite things they've done)
- Tokyo Tales (they're on all cylinders for this show, and the setlist is from their first four records, so it's sweet and speedy).

I'm sorry but whenever I hear anything about slam, all I can think of is this:

Two bands from different genres and labels appeared together in a music video back when those genres were in the mainstream. How can I not be nostalgic about this? I listened to All We Got Iz Us and State Of The World Address a LOT when I was in high school. That video was on Beavis & Butt-Head as well.

Childhood's End is probably the best song on FOTD. Bit of a Seventh Son vibe on that one, aside from the noisy solo which has to be Jannick. The album is too long for what it is. Definitely needed to be chopped down a couple songs.

I don't think Fear of the Dark is a bad album. Just a bit overhyped bc of the song itself and not as good as five other Maiden albums that I like much more.

north korea black metal (its actually good kek)

niggas arguing in the comments on whether its real or not, but its cool lol

Is Sleep Token a psyop? I'm seeing them everywhere and what's more I'm seeing extreme hate for them everywhere too. I listened to a few songs and it's pretty gay but whatever, I just feel like out of no where it's everywhere.

Also, on the topic of Iron Maiden, I unironically really like A Matter of Life and Death. I don't care if each song is 14 minutes long.

Clueless kids and scene tourists like them. I even met a older boomer type once who thought they were the most brutal thing ever.
