Saw a Tier-List where the OP put Symbolic on their own category, meanwhile Bathory's debut was put on "Mediocre" (I assume Mediocre for him is something bad?) and Blasphemy's "Fallen Angel Of Doom...." on the "Shit" tier.

I was about to blown on rage until I remember... I actually quite like these three albums. So here's my favorite tracks (had to do some memory with Bathory's debut because I haven't been listening it for a while).

Manilla Road-Crystal Logic
How curious; heard "Open The Gates" yesterday, and I hope I will keep going with their discography. I wanna hear "Mark Of The Beast" (which was going to be their second album, but for some reason wasn't officially released 'til 2002/2003 if I recall?) because a pal has been recommending it to me a lot, too.

Go look for the Metal Church self-titled debut, I consider it more Heavy/Speed Metal before USPM. But still counts:

Heard this band a while ago, while I didn't have the chance to hear the album entirely again, I'm sure you'll like it quite a bit:

Claims that he "invented technical death metal" even though Pestilence has arguably never played in the genre. Pestilence can be considered progressive death metal with their album Spheres, but that's a different thing than tech death.
Testimony of the Ancients

But they were still beat to the punch by Atrocity and Atheist and others.

Thoughts on Primordial?
I like a lot of their older stuff (The Gathering Wilderness, Redemption at the Puritan's Hand), but the newest stuff feels very tired. I keep hoping for a comeback, but feels like they just sputtered out.

Satan's Host
Wasn't Satan's Host that band who started as Power Metal, and then started to play more a mix of Power Metal and Black/Death? I think the Dawg talked about them, time ago of course.

Hmm. Testimony is a nice experience.
Though, I guess I'm more of a Consvming fan... But it's been a while since I heard something Pestilence-related.
