I'm a big fan of macaws, even if they can be really loud and obnoxious. My personal favorite is the green wing macaw which is the second largest macaw after the Hyacinth.

Here's a video of what they look like when they just hatch. They look like aliens without their feathers although they're still pretty cute.

I'm always amazed by Starlings. They remind me that just because something is common, that doesn't make it any less precious.

Me and my younger sister's budgie, Ocean is adorable and even my parents have truly warmed up to her.

I feel the same way about pigeons. Most people see them as just boring, flying rats but they're very smart and endearing little birds.

I like pigeons more because they're a lot more chill than rats. Wild rats can be pretty vicious, though pet rats are sweet.

Wild pigeons do have the potential of carrying lots of diseases, but pet pigeons are clean and very intelligent. It's a shame that as pets they are overshadowed by parrots who are seen as more charismatic.

I unironically love pigeons and we should treat them better as a whole.

Once, many years ago, I was taking a smoke break with some co-workers during an event load in and the fattest pigeon we'd ever seen waddles up and chills with us. So me being me I scooped him up and he just sat in my lap while we enjoyed the rest of our break.

I sometimes go to a park and bring a bag of seeds and vegetables to feed the birds, mostly just the pigeons, the ducks and geese like to keep their distance. There was one time where a pigeon landed on my arm and shoved its face inside the bag and I couldn't get it to stop. I'd pull its face out and it would go right back in.

I love Laughing Gulls. One time I had a pair that for whatever reason weren't on the breeding colony, and I would throw peanuts and cashews to the male, who would tidbit them for the female and give them to her when she ran over and it was really cute.

If we weren't already Kiwis we would be Laughing Gulls.

I love them. They're also called mudhens.

Last time I went camping, it was right on the shore of a lake. There was a pair of mated ducks who would visit me in the morning hoping to eat some scraps. Behind them, a tiny coot would follow and want so much to join in the feast, but he was just too cautious to approach. I made sure he got breakfast, though!
