Meh, we don't like being called English, but virtually anybody here will know this only arises when somebody from overseas doesn't actually know the difference. If a canadian came over here, most people would hear the accent and say "you're American, huh?" Same kind of thing. If anybody gets properly angry at a genuine mistake, they're just being a twat.
We voted on independence less than a year ago and it came out 55% against, 45% for (sadly, imo) But the overwhelming majority of anybody who voted for independence, myself included, have no dislike of the English, or being British as such, we just feel that the current Tory government doesn't represent the interests of Scotland and we'd be better served by our own, independent government.
