Glutamate hypofunction, a hallmark of schizophrenia, is easily tested for with a can of soda.
Put your fingers on the tops of your cheekbones, and find the muscle there. Flex it, and everything above it in the face. Loosen everything below it. Maintain this face while you sip a soda.
There exist some folks who are born with "carbonation grimace" in a resting position, and these people do have glutamate hypofunction. But if you are able to "revoke" the ability to drink soda with this exercise, and therefore experience an intolerable aversion to the drink, you have glutamate hypofunction too, and you are very likely to have schizophrenia.
