The Elder Scrolls

I posted yesterday at night? I'm gonna repost:

Another reason why i don't going with Heavy/Light armor this time is fucking Spell Effectiveness.

gonna be riding with the Elder Scroll today. my turf is in the Topal Sea and Akos Kasaz. Skyrim's black on the scroll so TESV will be a great time if you install dank modpacks. TESVI whenever??

nah changed my mind I don't want the Sun to burn it. it's in great shape and should last for many more years it'll just stay on my shelf. gonna wear the Anchor of Kha'jiit and my Smoke King hoodie instead

Janessa vanished on me after I sent her home. Did some other stuff. All of a sudden I'm leaving winterhold and there's a dragon attack and here she comes running to attack from under the bridge 😂
Try some modded followers. Xelzaz is a based for a farm tool and is hilarious on Solstheim. "This fort looks like it could never survive an inexplicable werewolf attack!"

Skyrim and Fallout artist says Todd Howard would tell devs "we can do anything but we can't do everything," and 95% of player-reported issues were flagged internally before launch
"We can do anything, but I won't do thaaaaat." The article glazes Bethesda and Todd of course but I people getting more and more sick of their bullshit anyway.

what the fuck...
i don't understand, gamesradar of all people glazing todd... did the REEra writers got told to eat shit and fuck off or something?

How open are you to debatably extreme autism?
Thought this was interesting because of the part where he points out the cringelords pretending to believe in paganism are still acting like and expecting Christian platitudes.

I want to see Yokuda in TES:VI tho. If they're doing Hammerfell why wouldn't you go to the birthplace of the Redguards? Sell me on picking Redguard to fully immerse myself in the experience.

Ugh wojak videos. Worse yet, he seems to be a Traditionalist! Go post warmed over Revolt Against the Modern World someplace else. Like, yeah, Elder Scrolls, post-PGE1, religion and metaphysics are largely based on various polytheistic philosophical and theological traditions, hardly an innovative take.

Good video, but I think he should have used an example of the Aedra as I think Daedra Worship is considered socially unacceptable for most people in-universe and might be a bad comparison compared to the Greek gods who I think it was normal for most people to worship any.

The Daedric Cult Question is a weird one in the setting, given that it has varied wildly, but for the most part, in pre-Oblivion Elder Scrolls (both the game and event), Daedra worship was both completely legal, socially acceptable, and often encouraged, depending on the place. While someone might give you the side-eye for being an out-and-out adherent of Molag Bal, as long as you aren't doing anything that was already illegal, then it was completely fine in the Septim Empire. As for a comparison to historical Mediterranean polytheism, Daedra seem to fulfil a similar cultural and societal role to what I will call "unseemly" aspects of Gods, Hades to Zeus, Apollo Parnopius to Apollo Acesius, etc. While still cosmically good, they are totally insensitive to the suffering of mortals and fulfil an unpleasant but necessary element of society. For example, Mehrunes Dagon, while the bringer of chaos and untold suffering, prevents ossification in society and ensures a vitality to the world that would otherwise be lacking; Clavicus Vile punishes hubris and rewards careful thinking; Boethia challenges mortals to seize and hold positions they deserve.

Oh yeah, found that guy in my recommended too. It's an interesting video, I liked it at least. Him bashing fake Pagans for what you already said was funny.

Many years ago I too wanted more Redguard content, but the last decade+ of niggery has ruined any interest of official content I once had. You just know it'll butcher Redguard lore in the name of some imaginary quota and to appease nignogs and their sycophants. Doubt it'll be any good mechanically neither.

Go figure, it turns out retarded developers need someone telling them to stop fucking around and finish the game/make it good.

It was bad enough that people had to cry enough to get publishers to stop cracking the whip, but then we had to throw trans fags in the mix so they definitely can't crack the whip.

I was about to ask what happened to AllInAll before remembering Kiwifarms has an actually good search engine built in, so instead I wanna necro-reply to a post and give my thanks for pointing out the archive (and to remind other people in this thread that AllInAll made some cool shit, Pelinal was ballin'):
Allinall has completely rebranded and renamed his channel, deleted all the unlisted playlists and apparently lives in Japan now, hes gone full weeb. On his second channel where he announced the ending of THLMR for nobody to see he edited the description to link to an official archive of his channel

I remember in Morrowind Daedra worship is legal, 'cus of the same Tribunal puts the good ones and the bad ones (House of Troubles).
Starting with Azura helping how the story unfolds, i think she and Meridia are the only ones not being evil.
In Oblivion is still legal, but far less visible. The nigger mage from the Chedynial Mages Guild says that:
"Daedra cults aren't necessarily evil, of course. In nearby Morrowind, for example, they worship Daedra in the Temple. The Azura shrine north of town, up Lake Arrius way, for instance. I know a Dark Elf there. Nothing evil about him."
And starting with a daedra cult killing a Emperor; i'm sure in Skyrim was ilegal in all forms.

I appreciate people actually understanding pagan beliefs, instead of going either "omg peace and love witches!!!" or "muh devil worship".

No, the worship of Daedra is legal because of Tiber Septim explicitly putting in his code that the Daedric Princes's cults are legal. The Armistice is actually precisely the opposite, because it carves out special status for Morrowind where the only two legal religions are the Tribunal Temple and the Imperial Nine Divines cults. In the Third Era, most Dunmer don't worship Daedra anyway, at most viewing the "Good Daedra" as anticipations of the Tribunal.
