I remember playing the demo a year or so ago, I think it has good potential. It seems to take itself seriously unlike that Lantern of the Laughless Saint thing, whose marketing seems to be "remember Morrowind?!" More like "ever wanted to play Morrowind but it's TOO OLD?! Well do I have the game for you!"
Eh, I don't really think it looks like King's Field. Visually it looks like Queen's Domain which is an upcoming KF-esque title but I don't think the actual moment to moment gameplay screams KF. There is a bit of a KF mini renaissance going on. Verho curse of faces came out last year and I thought it was quite good, loads better than Lunacid. At some point I might make a thread once I get around to finishing KF2 and 3.

Daggerfall had that port called DFUnity which is much better than OG MS-DOS spaghetti crap.
Well yeah unity can be used to great effect but I look at that and between the textures and the UI elements, it looks very... like I've seen it before done poorly.
I might. I can't imagine I'm the only person interested in it, and there's probably somebody somewhere who's better equipped to solve the map problem.

Yeah but 1. they know it already and more importantly 2. they like it for some reason. Recall that I am trying to trick them into experiencing something already, I can't afford a higher barrier to entry.
Actually, you can; all roads lead to Ravenloft because that's what I am running, and they will play the system you put in front of them because you aren't going to run anything else.

I think its the coloring of everything. It doesn't feel good or proper for a game like this. I can forgive simple poly textures, but it just feels too vibrant.
Following this mod I can recommend using Real Weapons Range to better time the weapon parrying. The game ranges are in silly units, but yeah. It's 2h Blunt Close (Warhammers) - 9 feet, and spears/staves - 10.8 feet. Everything else is 6 feet iirc. Someone made a patch of this mod to include the Tamriel Data and OAAB weapons too to have their ranges corrected.
