Update: the game runs fine on lowest settings. Capped at 60, i forgot that these days the difference between low and medium isn't as drastic as, say, in UE3 games.

>the Dremora are 100% aryans who wear variants of the same nazi-coded armor (black and red), they want to kill you on sight
Just like in the original? Approved.

Is anyone playing the Oblivion remaster/remake? Is it UE5 slop?

I don't know why they keep calling it a remaster. It's more like a remake. They changed gameplay mechanics. Used a whole new engine and from what I heard they recorded new voice lines for it. Black Forest Games did some of the same stuff for the Destroy All Humans remakes and they called them remakes.

As long as they don't pull the same scum fuckery cockstar pulled and delist the original game I don't have any issues with the remaster (though I'm not buying it).

I'm going to go as far as The battle for Bruma, if the game is shit then I'll just start an OG oblivion playthrough

2 Hour summary.

After my initial crashed and performance issues because I have an ayyyymd GPU (resolved, had to remove my overclock and lock frames at 120fps), the game runs and looks great (high settings constant 80 fps outdoors, 120 indoors). The new combat animations feel satisfying as fuck.

Doesn't look or feel like UE5 slop, you can feel that it's quite literally just oblivion running underneath a graphical skinsuit.

The UI redesign keeps the original aesthetic but adds some more functionality, feels good.

For the guy that asked about console, it's still in and all the commands function. Game has FOV options in the menu but you can do a console override as well, resurrect NPC's, delete NPC's, player.additem, unlock doors, etc

Anyone got any other questions to look into?
