If it's running the same engine under the hood there's no reason to expect this would've changed. Go out the back exit of Cheydinhal, up the hill toward the fort, go around to the left side of it and look for a hollow stump with a hatch inside. The barrel with the apples is to the left.

I've tried, the apples do respawn.

I understood that this is a low effort cash grab and AI texture upscaling was the most effort they wanted to put in but they really should have ported over the Skyrim character models I mean what the fuck is this shit? It looks absolutely horrible.

I asked AI to turn an oblivion khajiit in to unreal engine 5 and it gave me this. They literally took the oblivion model and just slapped on realistic textures

Personally I like the Oblivion remaster based on what I've seen of it. Not because I think the graphics look good (though the new lighting is really nice in some places) or the high def textures are nice or the new animations have really improved upon the original. I like it because it's all nightmarish and hideous. Bravo Howard.

Apparently the console command window won't even open unless your keyboard is set to american layout in windows, despite my keyboard having literally the same buttons lmao. Thanks Todd.

It feels like they just pumped in the models directly from gamebryo to UE5 without any other editing.
We have cartoony models in a realistic engine.

Oh no, I spend money on a hobby and hoped a sequel to a game I was fan of would be good and not a fucked up piece of shit. How terrible.

I still haven't preordered Doom The Dark Ages though. That won't be using UE5 so it will be a good game and won't run like shit. Though that depends on how much impact the raytracing slop has on the game.

I think that modded Oblivion with Better Dungeons, unique landscapes, Oblivion XP, Maskar's Overhaul, and a bunch of other mods, is still better. But I am glad that there is finally a bit more variety with the voice actors without having to resort to AI. I hope that the new voices get backported.
