Thanks to a policy change around when Collections started, mods on Nexus can only be hidden, not outright deleted. He can only fatly scream into the void now.
He really is irrelevant at least in Skyrim modding outside of the USSEP. Alt. Start? Alternative Perspectives is way better and let's you use Helgan as an actual town until you want to start the main quest. His Paarthurnax quest mod? Jayserpa made a better version. Open Cities? Bro, if you have a NVME your load times are measures in seconds so not needed and it's impossible to patch for.

Great job with having the only Starfield bug fix patch! I'm sure the less than 5k players left will be forever grateful for that as they pay out the ass for yet another Elianora player home full of clutter. Hey! Skyblivion dev who hangs out here, please tell me you aren't going to allow Roger Libiez aka Arthmoor to make patches for your mod.

That was quick

Ok, after watching this - because I'm a console pleb and don't care about modding - I have one question. If this patch has supposedly so much stuff inside and requires so many manhours to replicate, what does this arthmoor faggot do for a living? How can he justify spending so much time on a more than 10y old game?

Selling mods. Yes.

I learned through this video that he claimed to make his living off the mods, which blows my mind.

It's really sad how I'm still seeing people on reddit being like "Arthmoor is a dick, but his mod fixed the game so he has my respect"

The propaganda he has spread is insane. Not only that *he* did all of the work, but also that somehow the game is unplayable without the mod. I did a vanilla play through last year and honestly had no issues at all with quests and I think the game seemed more stable without the patch.

On another note, I tried a replay of Oblivion Remastered with the Unofficial patch and lo and behold I'm seeing tons more glitches and issues than I had without it.

Wait wait wait, hold on just a sec. Wasn't there a fucking civil war years ago about paid mods? WTF happened to that? People have to pay for this shit? Isn't this supposed to be available on steam workshop?
I'm not an expert on the specifics, but if your mod is downloaded off of the Nexus you get donation points. Donation points can be donated, used to buy slop, or paid out in cash. Since no one is paying for anything directly everyone is happy. Presumably he's made good money off his mod being the defacto mod for almost 2 decades now.

Think of it like YouTube Adsense, the company makes money off of showing consumers ads and getting paid subscriptions. It's an incentive for you to upload to their site and drive traffic towards it.

Yes, that's it.
Add some stupid content from Creation Club and the new shit Bugsoft implemented last year.

OG Skyrim is the first and only Bethesda game to support the Workshop.

Aside from what @Chieftain Coke Peanut said, there's a big portion of mod makers (for games in general, not just Skyrim) with Patreons that as a perk come with a pedocord invite, with the mods hosted there. And yes, all of these people should be beaten to death after being found guilty in court and several appeals.

Thanks for the explanation

As much as Fallout modding scene is a shitshow, it is nothing compared to what Skyrim modding has become. It's gonna be funny seeing so many normalfags get exposed to just how autistic it is now.

He also uploaded an Unofficial Oblivion Patch for the remaster. And it fucked up a lot of stuff too. Apparently, he just jammed the old one in without doing any changes.

Daggerfall Unity and Morrowind modding is so much better.

"information that is at least a decade old" Yes, because the story started in 2011, which was more than a decade ago. It would be stranger to just not talk about those events and, without any context whatsoever, talk about how people hate Arthmoor and how he's a fat ugly spic.

Also from an academic perspective, primary sources are considered unreliable, so using secondary sources is actually better practice for an accurate recounting of events. His use of "1st party source" for primary source does not do wonders for my estimation of his intelligence or education to say the least.

Not having the easy ability to goon seems to have staved off the worse of the dregs in their modding scenes.
