you forget that dunner can live for like 300 years (without magic to extend their lives unnaturally)

so if we assume that mer also take longer to reach maturity than men in a proportional rate to their natural aging

let's also assume the races of man live lives up to 60 years long (ignoring infant mortality) so the math is trivial

so an 18yo dunmer may be equivalent to a 3.6 years old human

but this runs on some very shoddy assumptions and napkin math
In the Real Barenziah she is protrayed as aging just as fast as everyone else.

Game Devs not compressing files and a good number of PC users being cheap and fucking retarded with their builds both can and are true at the same time.
It's not just them not compressing files. It's the triangle problem.

Developers just tossed more and more polygons at the graphics problem, but after a certain point, the return on investment is basically nil. We're well past that point now, which means you actually need talent, artistic vision, and hard work to solve the problem -- all things they don't want to do, because talented, hard working people with a good artistic vision cost money and can't be replaced by Jeet scabs and Women playing pretend gamedev at the adult day care.

You saw this in Final Fantasy 14 and Cities Skyline 2, where the former had grapes or planters with hundreds of thousands of polygons, and the later was rendering individual pedestrians' teeth -- in a city builder, where the pedestrians could literally be replaced with squares with a simple stick figure texture for all anyone cares.

What they need to do is dial things back to oh, PS3, PS4 era graphics and just sit there, figuring other shit out. I'd rather have PS3 era graphics with no draw distance and a shitload of stuff on the screen than them trying to render the individual nose hairs on the 400 pound she-ogre tranny they demand we pretend is an attractive woman because we let insecure fat dykes into the gaming industry and can't get rid of them until the upcoming crash.

But I imagine Nvidia, Microsoft, etc would freak the fuck out at the idea, because if you're not tossing infinite polygons at shit to make up for the fact that you've spent the past 30 years ensuring any tribal knowledge, any talented people, any people with experience are flushed out of the industry constantly so pay remains as close to minimum wage as economically and scientifically possible then it harms Nvidia, Microsoft, etc's bottom lines.

DarkElfGuy, one of the guys who organises the Morrowind Modding Modathon community events since 2014 has released a Morrowind modding website to link a lot of disparate resources for modding together. His TES3 Mod Map for in-game locations to see alll mod linked to that location is genuinely a great resource. He built this with modding oldhead MelchiorDahrk over the past few weeks. He states that the website is still in active development.

Doesn't help that everyone is just using Unreal Engine because that's what their code monkey contractors learn in school. So they just use stock setting for UE5, creating a unoptimized mess that feels like every other unoptimized mess.
I now have a sixth sense for detecting UE5 titles because they all have the same animation and rendering hick ups

I'm excited to make George Floyd and do a fent fueled playthrough.
I hope it works out better for you than my Coonteenth weekend run of Fallout: New Vegas did. I built my character (Tyrone), gave him 1 Intelligence and 1 Charisma, and let him loose on the world with the goal of being high on every drug as often as possible. Things were going well (so well, in fact, that after I remembered that taking the Cannibal perk unlocks the Devourer of Nations challenge perk, I decided to go for it and use a console command to change my character's name to Idi Amin upon success), until they weren't. Bethesda's shit engine corrupted my saves, as I found out when the guards at the Gun Runners started attacking me on sight for no reason at all, and after a few more such glitches I eventually abandoned the run.

Man it feels really weird to have sunk 3-4k hours into TES games and not care about a new TES game.
misread your post as only 3-4 hours and thought "yeah no duh you don't care"

I get it I suppose. The only TES game I've put any considerable time into is Morrowind and TES6 probably isn't going to be Morrowind 2. Maybe it'll be good, maybe it won't. The good thing about series' like Fallout and TES is that we have a ton of content as is, so I'm not really going to be crying in the rain about it. I'd hate for it be bad, I do actually like when good games come out. But the odds are stacked against it, that much is true.

They'd probably never do the type of stuff I want to see done with TES anyways.

I suppose I really did dig that Thieves Guild area and the comfy dolmen loop in Alk'ir... It had nice like, Aladdin vibes you know.
You are dealing with 2026 Bethesda.
You're better off expecting a massive library of the brightest minds in the world than a thief guild full of black thugs.
You will see a million Yakubs before you see one fented out floyd. Every criminal in the game will not be a redguard.

black thugs
Excuse me, you mean melanated victims of social economic conditions.
You will see a million Yakubs before you see one fented out floyd. Every criminal in the game will not be a redguard.
If you do, it's because he would be helping the WHUITE-I mean anyone not of his rac-I MEAN ETHNICITY commit crimes. But it would also be ok because he probably has some backstory to "justify" whatever the fuck he did. And he'd be a companion named Tyronen Al-Fentlin.
God I can't imagine an environment like Bethesda's right now. I was making over exaggerations but why do I feel like that's exactly what's going on over there.

How's that going to affect things? Will we see them bring back the autistic straight white male programmer to actually clean up the jeet and AI slopcode, forcing them to actually optimize shit, shrink filesizes, code sanely instead of just picking shit off the Unreal / Unity asset store? Or will we see the inertia cause this shit to run headfirst into the ground for a few years first?
Web coding “””frameworks””” and JavaScript created a class of low effort programmers that can’t print hello world without 15 libraries and AI only made this 100x worse. Not just for gaming but for everything. Blame the retarded ass frat boy tech bros for ruining everything trying to squeeze every last penny they could. we are never going back to actually programming stuff anymore. Not sure if anyone at Microsoft even knows what a compiler is now.

Spoken like a true nigger. You dindu nuffin. Dey jus tryin to keep a brother down and sheit.
Well played, but it was a legitimate save game corruption because I had specifically avoided doing anything to piss them off, since I knew they were going to be one of my primary merchants. I even told the old hag at Crimson Caravans that breaking into their factory and stealing their CAD files was a job I couldn't do, so they had no reason to attack me. I tried to go on (the Vendortron will happily sell you more ammo to replace what you just put into the guards, who aren't that tough if you're level 25+), but after hitting a couple more major glitches, I figured there was at least a 50% chance that the game was already softlocked and I wouldn't be able to complete the main questline to finish the game, so I gave up and started a new game.

Unreal and Quake ran like ass on current machines of the time, and that was in the era of supposed "optimization." Quake ran so badly on my P100, which I'd gotten the year before, that I uninstalled it and never played it through until I got a PIII in 1999. It was extremely common to not play PC games until years after they came out in the "optimization" era. "Eh, it runs like ass, but gamers will have better PCs next year" has always been the M.O. of PC game developers. 20 years ago PC Master Race supremacists with their fancy Geforce 2s and console kiddies with their PS2 were arguing about this exact thing. I could probably find forum posts from 2002 about how PS2 games are better because console devs have to optimize, while PC games are shit because this year's games will run like ass until next year's GPUs come out, so the PC gamer can't have a good experience unless he buys a new $400 GPU every year.

Today, PC gamers complain that new games only run at 75 fps with 55 fps lows on 8-year-old GPUs and seem to think Doom 3 came out of the gate running at 60 fps on current midrange machines. When did this era of hyper-optimization happen? I've been playing games on PCs since the 1980s, and it wasn't until the 2010s that you could buy a new game and be reasonably certain it would run on the machine you bought last year.
Yes all those games were deliberately designed to be cutting edge tech demos. Most games today are not cutting edge they're just extremely memory inefficient and poorly optimized UE5 slop

That Morrowind inspired game I made fun of a while ago finally released.
I remember playing the demo a year or so ago, I think it has good potential. It seems to take itself seriously unlike that Lantern of the Laughless Saint thing, whose marketing seems to be "remember Morrowind?!" More like "ever wanted to play Morrowind but it's TOO OLD?! Well do I have the game for you!"
They also seemed to be making yet another "remember Morrowind?" game immediately after which is retarded.
