god damn it todd, stop breaking SKSE, you little shit.
>Not setting Steam to "only update when I launch" and never launching it outside of MO2
Todd laughs at you. Least downgrading is easy. Hey wait a second I only heard that FO4 was going to update, they're doing Skyrim too? They really are fucked if they're still messing up people's mod installations on decade old single-player games rather than doing anything else. It's just spite at this point.

both FO4 and SkyrimSE are creations focused update, this is their yearly "fuck you for not letting us monetize modding" reminder, the patch notes mention Xbone and PS5, on a PC build...

On the optimization argument, as long as the game actually performs and runs above single digit FPS I don't really care. I played through Judgement on an NVIDIA 720 or 760 and it was a fun but personalised playthrough.

I tend to use the original version of Skyrim, is there any particular reason why the Special Edition gets used more often nowadays other than it being unlisted on Steam?

Gamebryo was upgraded into 64-bit so it's a lot more stable in general, but especially when heavily modded. But I don't think you'd notice a difference if your rig really is made from scrap parts a tweaker stole from his grandma and sold to a pawn shop.

64 bit meaning you can use more than 4gb of ram and its far more stable, ESL light plugin support so you can bypass the 256 plugin limit, BC7 texture compression which looks way better with the same size as BC5 compression, improved graphics with dx11 rendering.

you can also play with borderless windowed mode instead of having your monitor spaz out if you alt tab.

Yep, SSE is much better at playing at vanilla. Less crashes and bugs at high FPS.
But i'm done with it. I'm playing New Vegas right now.

Every time you think you've found the strongest goycattle raped kikeslave imaginable a new challenger emerges.

I just saw some dude on the Steam forums arguing with people upset with the shitty new update with

"Yea how dare Bethesda fix bugs!"

Bethesda
Fixing bugs
Lol

it's the first message in the news, everyone is slamming that faggot.
there is some steam deck players that enjoyed the update fixed some shit for it but everyone else is shitting on that faggot mentioning the update is focused towards creations and the actual bugs that the shartmoor patch fixes are still unfixed TO THIS DAY.

Can't you just play Special Edition on GoG to avoid these updates at this point? I haven't played Skyrim in a couple years but I figure if I do get the itch I might just pony up for the GoG version and turn off updates for modding purposes.

That Morrowind inspired game I made fun of a while ago finally released.

They also seemed to be making yet another "remember Morrowind?" game immediately after which is retarded.
The first game isn't even out and they're doing another one? Oh they can fuck off! These people are never finishing shit.

If you own any version of skyrim, just pirate it. Don't give bethesda another fucking penny.

The game is extremely unfinished right now too. It feels like you are playing a UE5 asset flip (it doesn't help that all the enemies have the default UE running animation). It's going to be years before the game is in a good state. I also don't see what is Morrowind ""inspired"" about it. After playing for a few hours there is only some references and surface level similarities. Gameplay wise it's closer to Skyrim and Fallout 3/NV than Morrowind.

All of these "Morrowind inspired" RPGs are nothing like Morrowind. They're usually made by trannies who watched some Warlockracy videos on Tamriel Rebuilt or watched a couple meme lore videos and decided that a nonlinear action game in a "weird and alien world!" Is enough to make the game totally like Morrowind guys! Like Dread Delusion which is constantly cited as a Morrowindlike but in actuality has nothing at all in common with the game aside from being in first person.

Interesting mod that adds grid inventory. Smooth is a weeb but he's a good modder at least.

It's a troll, same with the other comment after it. Pretty sure Cyris and Meepy (the guy saying to stop pushing update) are either the same person or two friends farming steam awards (probably with a bot that lets them know when an announcement goes ahead). I've seen them together in multiple discussions in multiple games.
People have been ragebaiting and counterbaiting steam announcements for years now.

Like others have already said, I'll just add that there's also some nice mods you might like that aren't available for LE. If you don't care for mods, bug fixes, and/or crashes for some reason, no need to switch unless you want some slight graphical enhancements.

I think it was announced before the first one, then they pivoted to what they just released. Like a set, they can just reuse most of the assets too since it's the same engine and world.

Completely unsurprising, I mean seriously who the fuck thought that was going to be any good? Yet another UE "muh low poly PSX gwafics," Memberberry slop clearly made in a short amount of time meant to cash in on disgruntled Elder Scrolls fans and trannies.
I believe these are the people who made Angel Engine, and by made I mean too lazy to develop anything so they just used AI (which is what put it on the map, people shitting on it for being AI slop of interesting ideas). No shit it's unfinished.

The fact that it's him saying it makes it even funnier, now I can't read it without Cell's voice. If you ever feel down on yourself, remember that you're not as pathetic as a serious Skyrim Roleplayer, holy shit they're pathetic.
Unrelated, looking at this fucking creature in my recommended.
Who the hell looks like that and goes "yeah I look presentable." Oh shit, I vaguely remember her as some used up pornstar. Christ.

FTFY.
Adding to the Skyrim SE talk, it seems nobody actually knows this but you don't even need to re-save plugins to have them work in SE. Every LE mod that isn't script extender or some other external hook should just work on SE
so what you saying is...
all of it...
...just works?

This gets into the Form 43 vs. Form 44 esoterism where it might fuck up your save eventually but I've never seen actual evidence of that happening.
