Also people that need everyone in Skyrim to look like barbie dolls are faggots.
/tesg/ in tears. To be fair, would rather have my fantasy characters look as nice as possible, logic be damned because we sure as shit can't trust Bethesda to make nice looking characters for the most part. Most of Skyrim's vanilla NPCs pretty decent looking but modern day Bethesda is a different question, and that question comes in the form of:
If it was gritty, low fantasy then yeah barbie dolls would be odd outside of royalty. Mudcore if you will.
Skyrim without the Macho Man Dragon mod is not true Skyrim.
The only acceptable alternative is the Gary Busey Dragons mod.
Are we forgetting about Thomas the Tank Engine?

I mean...Skyrim *was* meant to be more low fantasy. Conan the Barbarian was a direct inspiration per Todd Howard himself, which is why I find most character model overhaul mods annoying and gay.

Like should Serana be hot? Yes. But should everyone be? No way.

Really? Given the rest of the series I can't see Skyrim being low fantasy. I can see parts of Conan being an inspiration for some parts of Skyrim but otherwise...eh.
I believe it is in the "first design document" that was released a few years ago for Skyrims anniversary, and Todd said he kept a Conan statue on his desk for inspiration.

I mean, I don't know how you can look at Skyrim and think it was going for high fantasy like Oblivion tbqh. I'd say that Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim all had very distinct styles in mind with their design.

It certainly wasn't as high as Oblivion and I hope I didn't imply that it was, not every High Fantasy is the same. Tamriel is a high fantasy world, I'm not sure if you can even have low fantasy in a high fantasy world unless you retcon all the High Fantasy elements. Skyrim is lower on the High Fantasy scale but it's definitely still High Fantasy. I'd argue that's because Bethesda were too fuckin' lazy to make some of the more fantastical elements that would definitively place it in "High Fantasy" with no arguments, RIP Sky Whales. I also don't trust that snake Todd to even know what really Conan was nor anything about it with his sweet little lies.
On the low end of High Fantasy with hints of Dark and Medieval Fantasy I feel is more appropriate.

Oh yeah, no argument there. Like I said before, you can have very distinct variations of High Fantasy based on design philosophy alone. Bit of an extreme example but compare Tolkien's work to The Craft Sequence, both very High Fantasy but very different. Speaking of Tolkien, going by his coined definitions that I see to be widely accepted, primary worlds tend be Low Fantasy (if Fantasy at all) while a secondary world is a separate world (like The Elder Scrolls) and tends to be High Fantasy. Forgive me I'm rambling about topics I'm probably not knowledgeable enough to speak on.
MW, Oblivion, Skyrim, they're all High Fantasy but clearly different levels of High Fantasy, with Morrowind being as High as Kirkbride was on average. You can make a game in any part of Tamriel, make it gritty as shit, I'd still say it's technically High Fantasy just with more elements of other Fantasy types (Dark Fantasy for example).

It's funny that for all its gameplay faults the art did feel like a step back in the direction of Morrowind, pic relevant. I like Oblivions art and its a very pretty game but it's certainly a bit... uninspired. I don't usually mind retcons given I come into things way later but shirking the written-about Jungle aesthetic in favor of Oblivions LOTR-lands certainly is a loss. Should've just said "it's Valenwood" and it'd've worked

I think Cyrodil being half-jungle, half-temperate in some weird, alien way the closer you look would've been kino if they really wanted to simplify the aesthetic or make it more like LOTR, or whatever the hell their excuse was, they could at least have gone-half-and-half and make some wack shit. Like the CHIM didn't fully take and the jungle is creeping back into its natural state? Imagine getting too far from the Imperial City and it suddenly turns into fucking Vietnam.

What's annoying and gay about every character being turned into some airbrushed OF thot, including the guys? That's so hekkin realism bro!

Check out my Serana overall. She's got jiggly double D's, a g-string and a fat cock.

Idk. But Serana vanilla is the most cute character in Skyrim.
Makes you forget she was raped and have basically much more age than you.

Too bad she's completely insufferable. Between her "goth girl with daddy issues" schtick and the fact she's forced on you regardless of what side you choose in Dawnguard, she's probably my least favorite character in the game.

Also, as far as cute, non-marriageable characters go, Elisif > Serana.

I'd say that almost every NPC in Skyrim is annoying and gay even without mods. The cat traders are the only exception - they are fun little furry faggots. "Khajiit has wares, if you have coin."

Another gay thing about Skyrim is main quest and all that mumbo-jumbo about voices, gay beards, and dragonborn.
So, if I were playing on windows, I'd install alternative start and removal of main quest, along with any mentions of dragonborn, voice runes, etc.

The most fun I had with the game is looting some dungeons with bandits in them. Sneak + blades + illusion is a very fun combination. All the other shit is boring.

She's also fuckin annoying because she kills shit with her ice spear and sends everything flying. Good luck finding that quest item the NPC has, they got blasted to fuckin Vvardenfell by Molags cumrag.

Just follow the quest marker, dummy.
WHEN SOME NPCS GET KILLED THEY LOSE THE ARROW YA NUMBNUTS, TRY FINDING THAT MOTHERFUCKER ONCE SHITRANA SENDS THEM TO FUCKING AETHERIUS WITH HER FROZEN MOLAG BAL CUM SPIKES.

still, she is annoying as shit and her VA does get grating after a while, especially if you play older games where laura bailey was voicing almost everything without even putting a bit of range in her voice, i'd take a serana revoice mod over making her a barbie doll anytime of the day.

Some of the more muted body mods actually look nice other than the fact that they make all the grannies in the game look like runway models.

Not that anyone here needed to be told this but Keizaal is run by the biggest bunch of faggots imaginable. Very funny watch.
tl;dw, rpfags having a real one. stormcloaks spend weeks planning an assault on windhelm, only for admins to balk and cancel it last minute, rounding up all participants and struggle sessioning them in a chapel before banning the participants and deleting their characters. this comes in the wake of admins having a fit over stormcloaks winning a decisive victory over loyalists, reversing the results of the battle.

"This is a great advert for Daedric Online!" Oh God there's another one? Anyway, yeah admins are usually shitmins by default that seethe and cope at people having fun because...who the fuck knows man. I guess this time it was like the other guy said, the admins didn't want to actually do any work and make a storyline so they just said "fuck it, event cancelled because it takes me away from my gooning sessions." Then when the players protested and decided to do the event on their own terms, that counted as RDM and was going against the word of the admins (after all, admin = God or some gay shit like that), thus "failRP."
I "worked" with power tripping freaks like this before, I know their mental gymnastics.Looking this Daedric Online, apparently it's a much smaller client and server. It's RP but according to several people (both complaining and praising about this) it's a lot more "loose" so you'll see people doing whatever instead of being super hardcore RPing. Yeah there's still RP but it's not turbo autistic like Keizaal is (again, just going by what they're saying). According to an actual GM in response to someone being upset that DO is not super serious RP:
3D Modeler & GM here from Daedric. I don't really think there's much reason to be the RP police while the server is still in alpha. Yeah, people break character and mess around sometimes, but it's not like nobody RPs at all. There's plenty of actual RP happening too.
We just don't think the server needs to be held to some ultra-serious RP standard at this stage. It's still figuring itself out, an weI'd [SIC] rather let the community develop naturally than constantly police every instance of people fucking around.
I suppose if you want to play Skyrim multiplayer you'd go to DO until they inevitably get swarmed by autistic trannies that want to suck the life out of everything.

Trying to RP in anything other than single player games or TTRPGs is an effort in futility. Either you've got some faggot admins getting their programmer socks in a twist because some heckin chud is doin a wrongthink(RP'ing as anything other than a white hat) or you've got randoms griefing because fuck you for trying to have fun.

This is why MMOs, the vidyas almost tailor made for this shit, practically never do it. It's just impossible when you have to deal with other people. No one is ever on the same the page. Even if you go through some hyper-autistic vetting process to make sure the person in question is down to clown your way, they could just be lying until they get the chance to shit up. Or you don't match the admin/guild leaders dipshit idea of a roleplay.

Fuck you even see this shit in regards to much less intrusive forms of RP. I've seen people on reddit clowning on players in Space Marine for RP'ing as their favorite chapter of Spess Mhreens and talking in character. "It's just a game, who does blud think he is 💀".

Do your gay Roleplay by yourself the way Godd intended. Everyone wins.
