Cross the strange character designs of Star Wars, the tropes of old west films, and the humor of Borderlands, and you've got the game in a nutshell. Considering Borderlands humor and old west film tropes along with Star Wars type of character design, maybe have one of the settings be in a sort of bar filled with human thugs, gambling robots, and music playing aliens. The player ends up fighting the patrons that range from human, alien, and robot. That is all I can think of.
