I don’t know if I should fucking buy this game. It looks good. I like the aesthetic, but yeah I don’t no if it’s worth the 40 bucks. Is there anyone else playing it?
 
I haven't seen this, but I have not liked the series after the 2nd movie, when they attempted to turn Pinhead into some wisecracking Freddy clone. The 1st two movies the Cennobytes are not really villains exactly, it's more the evil of men that is the focus.

But all the trash that came after Hellraiser II, I haven't seen any attempt to right it. I doubt you could make a good game from whats left of it.

There’s a bunch of interesting studio politics regarding the Hellraiser franchise. Like for the last 20 years, they’ve only made movies to maintain the rights. It’s worth looking into but he was definitely involved with the game.
 
Looking at Steam reviews, can't see any negative reviews that give any red flags. Gametime is on the shorter side but still not too little for the price. Probably worth a buy if it interests you enough.

ultimately its about Sado-masochistic semi-divine beings that torture you for all time because your a degen who has run out of experiences in this world.

its sort of too cosmic and outer focused to be "girl bossy" I'd be impressed for them to make that angle lol, though in the orginal movies the only person to EVER get one over on the Cenobites was Kristie Cotton so it always had a women fucking over cosmic beings, this includes the comics which sort of are sequels to the first two movies.

yea that's kinda a theme of the fucking franchise, guy got Kristie Cotton'd in reverse.

I dunno if you figured this out yet, but anyone who is even remotely involved with Leviathan, even being able to get near the box, is a fucked person, including Kristie from the first movie, who they all but outright state is also a closeted sex/experience freak and will eventually, one day, come back to the Cenobites.

They also threw in a guy who wants to be a cenobite, too, and gets rejected. If they were in diffirent, unrelated installments, then yes, maybe, otherwise, on top of other things, it comes across pretty girlbossy

Guys' just a less worthy Channard, he's a total fucking poser and he doesn't get the full treatment, however, even Channard was only useful as an Avatar of Leviathan to get what it wanted and was literally torn apart later

a women fucking over everyone including her boyfriend to become a Demonic Sadomasochistic Dominatrix Angel isn't really "girlbossy" she's just outright evil, and so is the main character, and everyone else in this entire game.

the people who made it? yea and that's all that matters.
its clear that the cult, the main character, and the GF are evil as fuck, but the whole franchise is an exploration of evil, the evil of need, want, experience, and lust, the Realm of Leviathan is a sort of "Lawful Evil" dimension for such a place, every character but the Autistic girl in the 2nd movie is evil, in basically the entire franchise (and Cotton's Dad I guess but he's just a happenstance victim).

I mean the game ends with the MC basically screaming at his GF that she's an evil bitch, no matter what option you choose, it doesn't paint what she did was good, because it results in her literally being carried by the High Priest of Leviathan into a Torture Portal.
