In the interest of providing more content for the goons of the site to laugh themselves silly over, or trigger, I've not decided which they are doing; I have decided to today autism about 9/11.
Everyone knows about the official story. Terrorists, some being Saudis and others flew planes into various US landmarks, being the biggest Terrorist attack on US soil ever. And perhaps one of the most widely covered news stories ever.
When people want to discuss the 9/11 attacks they usually want to talk about the Twin Towers, after all they are the flashpoint and the spectacle of the entire attack.
Various theories will be put forward, the steel beams were weak, the jet fuel burned papers, or caused the aluminium in the fuselage to get hot enough to become explosive. As well as the usual tinfoil hat theories of the planes were CGI, or there was a nuclear bomb in the basement, or it was a laser from a satellite, or some other nonsense.
This is why the Twin Towers are a useless topic to talk about, there is too much spin, too many factors, too many unknowns, too much disinfo, too much tinfoil.
It's far easier to focus on the one building not hit by a plane, that eventually came down. WTC7.
As Silverstein admits, WTC7 was damaged by fire, and the decision was made to pull. In what follows is a textbook controlled demolition. And the term "to pull" in the demolitions industry, means to pull-down a building. (some people have suggested Silverstein meant "pull out" but no one has ever used the word "pull" on its own in that fashion. "pull them out" "pull our people out" "pull out" no one has ever said "pull" unless they are clay target shooting.)
That means that from when the first plane hit the Twin Towers, Silverstein had 6 hours to organise a demolitions crew to go over, have architects come in with the plans for the building, have engineers go over them to find structural weak points, weaken beams, place charges, organize the timed charges correctly so the building would be demolished in a structural collapse.
That's the sort of thing that typically takes weeks to organize and set up. Which means Silverstein must have known that WTC7 would need to come down beforehand.
Also Silverstein had taken out a insurance deal on the WTC buildings prior to the 9/11 attacks.

Now I'm sure that some people will say that fire and some debris brought down WTC7 in a strangely controlled demolition style collapse. Except 9/11 is the only case where modern buildings have completely collapsed into rubble due to fire. The White House was razed by the Canadians and it didn't collapse. And even in modern times buildings of comparable size are gutted and still don't come down. Even in cases where they are improperly built.
