I had a friend who was big into Linux, and it;s probably no coincidence he was kind of a weirdo.

He was obsessed with his privacy to a very unhealthy extent, doing things to his PC that fucked its performance up to the point he couldn't run Skype and then he bought a libreboot, a 4,000 dollar laptop made in 2006 with an aftermarket addition.

He was of the opinion that text-only OSes were superior despite going obsolete in the 90's and kept shilling for Suckless, a website for Linux spergs who are so extreme in their tastes they REEEEE over the inclusion of GUIs and emoticons in chat clients.

In short, I think Linux fanboys are a ripe herd for lolcows

I like the mega-autistic Stallman fanboys who are such ideological fanatics about open source they refuse to use literally anything that isn't open source or is copyrighted and anyone makes a dime off it.
I recall the people like that at FSF engaging in allegedly shady practices in order to get Linus to change the license from GPLv2 to v3.

Of course Stallman himself is prone to lolcow activities, he actually wrote a song to advertise free software, oh and he sings it as well:

Stallman there holding Ecuadorians hostage to his performance.

Holy shit Stallman looks like Captain Caveman.

I use linux and even I think some of the more hardcore GPL/FSF(free software foundation)/suckless/Arch way is the only way autists are the more cancerous element of linux users. I mean, at worst, you can't really get any meaningful discussion done about anything linux-related without either several replies with RMS's interjection-copypasta and other memes or some autists start distro/systemd/pulseaudio/Red Hat war.

Also, there are some pretty funny anecdotes about Stallman:
-he refuses to own a cell phone
-he doesn't use internet directly, instead he downloads his emails and webpages he wants to look at and reads those while not connected to internet
-refuses to use any piece of software he doesn't conform to his standard of free software(licencing issues)
-and speaking of his computing, he rarely uses GUI, opting for emacs and some other cli software: https://stallman.org/stallman-computing.html
-he hasn't installed linux distro for himself in ages, if ever
-he has whole slew of terms he deems problematic: http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/words-to-avoid.html
-whenever he travels to his speeches, he has whole lotta rules for it: https://groups.google.com/a/mysociety.org/forum/#!msg/mysociety-community/zkyZpOXjgoQ/_8xyXSxv9zYJ
-he has eaten something out of his foot and someone happened to take video of it:
-he once flipped his shit because he did half of his hours long speech, only to be asked to start from beginning because the audience didn't understand english(this was in Brazil iirc):
-he made emacs
-he hates vi/vim

To be completely fair, he, FSF and GNU project have done some great things(like standard c library, gnu compiler collection(ie. the tools that make possible to write software for linux), userland tools which most linux systems rely on, etc), and he has some good points about software, mass surveillance and intellectual properties in general. But a man's dedication seems foolishness to another man. RMS hasn't really done anything software-wise for years, and he is really old-school unix beard who started his computing on ancient propietary unix systems, and like any old man he hates change in his routines. Nowadays he's more of a political figure, figurehead and speaker. He's also totally dedicated to his cause, to a degree he'd rather makes his life more difficult by refusal of using non-free software.

On the good side, he spells doxing with only one x.

Stallman's fucking nut's, and has a few iffy personal habits - I mean there is a video of him picking something of his feet and eating it oh and there is also this attraction sign.

Eric S Raymond though is fucking certifiable.

He speaks Portuguese and English and asked at the start of the speech if they'd prefer English or Portuguese, and they told him English and asked to change later on. That's what caused it.

Stallman is genuinely autistic but free software is also super important.
