The Linux Thread - The Autist's OS of Choice

My server running Debian with no desktop enviroment has a bluray drive. If I wanted to set it up so I can rip disks and rencode in a more efficint format, what software out i use? Or would I have to just straight clone the disk to an iso, copy it to my main computer which has no drive, and convert it there?
This thing will automatically check the inserted disk against imdb and rip it into matroska.

I got tired of not being able to rip Jersh's podcast on Android from Odysee and other non-Youtube sites, so I installed Termux on it. Their package repo has pip and now I can download any video that yt-dlp can manage without any app or, even worse, web app faggotry.

Next step: putting together a bash script for handling links shared to the Termux app, they have a preset file that is probed when this happens.

I've decided to re-install EndeavourOS on my gayman PC (with Windows 10 on another SSD) but with KDE instead of Gnome. I have not used KDE in a long time, the EndeavourOS team did a good job with the theme and it doesn't require too many modifications.

PROTIP: If you ever get the bright idea to install Arch on your main PC a hour before you usually turn in for the night... don't.

EOS is a pretty solid Arch-based distro and KDE is honestly my only choice of DE. I mean, it's gotta be doing something right if Microsoft is willing to rip it off be inspired by it.
:smug:

Can't wait for KDE Plasma 6 to finally get released.

I never used Linux. Recommend me distro.

plasma is bloated mess. I myself do not use any DE.
How do you find Plasma to be a "bloated mess" if you've never used Linux before? And if KDE is bloated, i wonder what that makes GNOME3?

I'd probably recommend you try manjaro with xfce if you're going to be like that then.

I can never get Termux to work for shit

Which parts of it specifically? Personally, I never bothered with the plugins that add interfacing with other apps or expose Android APIs. The only thing that gave me initial trouble was finding a place to save videos to. By default, Termux saves everything to its application cache. Give it file permissions, then navigate to your SD card or internal storage using their full path. Android won't let you ls the intermediate directories because of its isolation policies, so aliasing that for future reference is useful.
