according to Lunduke anyways
Lunduke is a fucking grifter; he was bitching about Google censoring him back in the late 2000s, and it turned out his website had a malicious iframe on it, so Google (quite rightfully) delisted his site, as it was a security risk to everyone.

He has taken the Con Inc. ragebait bullshit and adapted it to Linux.

People need to stop listening to this faggot.

From the latest video's shilling segment:
"Uh, thank you to the Luke Journal subscribers for allowing me to do this sort of coverage, for allowing me to be the absolutely only Linux journalist of any kind that is doing this sort of coverage. So, that's that's kind of neat."

How dare you attack the only real Linux journalist?

Lmfao when did RTFM turn to "github give mean .exe" level of demonizing tinkering or customization? The more Linux gets popularized among normalniggers the more I hear this gay ass 'just wuuuuurks DURRRR troonix DURRRRRR' shit spread all over. If you're too lazy or too hooked to goy daycare for it that's your fucking problem, whining about people who want proper sovereignty over their computing is exactly why Linux should stay a niche for the technically apt. Accessibility and its consequences have been a disaster for every niche in existence.

As I said before, people want their operating system to just be an operating system. Mint ticks all the boxes, that's where the Windows refugees will go. If you don't like Windows users infesting your ecosystem, then go take it up with the corporation that's shooing them away - Microsoft.
So me saying Mint has troons using it is apparently me getting MATI and mental retardation but him saying Bazzite has troons using it is apparently just par for the course? It’s fucking Linux cunt, troons infestation is inside the kernel.

Doesn’t WMM rely on the Edge browser engine for UI rendering?
No, WMM was depreciated in 2014. "Video Editor" which they replaced it with later on is a different program. I have also solved a few barriers to start up WMM 6.0 under Wine. Finally got it to run without crashing at least:

The troons that use Mint do not get a say in Mint development and don’t infest the support forums

Not arguing against the tranny thing. That's a reality we all just have to live with. I actually can't really think of much of anything that hasn't been infested with trannies.

Just saying, the days of Linux being a niche nerd thing is coming to an end.

Giving up on Linux because a notorious, predatory chat platform that finds new lows to sink to every year and shits the bed after every update is certainly a choice.
I have given up on the app. using discord in Firefox seems to be wayyy more stable then the shitty app. I also don't think it's always Linux fault for shitty app development to begin with.. but that's YMMV. And also, fuck discord.

So like while I agree also if discord isn't working that's probably a distro problem. Discord should just work for the most part. Problem is it seems new user saw Ubuntu is still your best bet, installed it, it bugged out in traditional Ubuntu fashion and he gave up before he found a distro that worked for him. This makes me sad.
Discord has always been an issue on my pc, I attribute it to running (electron(chrome)), as when I run the discord app in Firefox, everything seems to work flawless, and my mic doesn't cut out after 5 minutes of use.

I would agree on it if it also wasn’t for people like the one we’re clowning on about leaving an operating system for no sound on screenshare, which isn’t a minority. I’m still known for “the linux loser” in my friend group, it still has that stigma.

Probably most problematic for the normalnigger distros that people use to farm likes on ZogTok or Jeetstagram, a la Arch, Mint, Ubuntu, Kali. Normalniggers have not the patience to invest into something like Guix, Gentoo or Void, even if their brain drain bot helps them along the way, they will simply get bored and bloat their setup until the NEXT_THING catches their attention, much less actually contribute bug reports, fixes or packages to their distro of choice.

People will want to purity spiral because, quite frankly, they've been propagandised.
There are a huge number of people in the Linux/BSD and tech communities that I intensely dislike for various reasons.
e.g. I think Linus has retarded takes on a bunch of stuff and repeats bullshit media talking points; so does RMS sometimes. I think RMS is a complete loon.

If I stopped using things because of them being troons, having retarded political takes and whatever else. I would be stuck using FreeDOS.

It will always be niche as a desktop OS outside of maybe Steam machines. The vast majority of machines sold will come with Windows for the foreseeable future; most companies use Windows. Most people do not have the patience to tinker with the computer.

Those who do want to switch. What happens typically is Microsoft does something shitty, and loads of people run around with their hair on fire, try a normal Linux distro, distro hop for maybe a month or two and then go back to using Windows.

Typically the only people that stay for a long time are people that are hardcore autists, IT professionals of some sort or people that work in academia and the odd gamer that is happy with running Steam on their distro of choice. The vast majority of those people will be using Ubuntu/Mint.

Finally switched back to windows, the final straw was on screen keyboards not fucking working which is apparently a thing only on wayland

I love the idea of Linux but the constant shit the doesn't work for no reason just wears you down

Has anyone fucked with Winboat? I saw it mentioned a few pages back. A guy I'm helping mentioned it when he talked about jumping from windows, and I figured I'd ask about it.

It works. It's a virtual machine, so no hardware acceleration, but you can get Adobe software running in it.

reminder that terry davis used ubuntu with unity occasionally and linus torvalds uses base fedora

the people who actually do something admire simplicity and the idiot admires complexity

I'm reading this as "mature." What's to maintain about a keyboard, especially on X11 where the queer corpo-autogynocracy has halted development?
ok so problem with this is no osks are considered mature. they just reached a point where wayland development took over and they gave up, same with xorg.
all osks if you started contributing to them would likely become years long projects for you, especially if you actually give a shit and want it to work for accessibility focused edge cases.
